We were set on seeing the wild ponies even eith the slim chance of actually seeing any. We were lucky enough to catch "Blaze" running through the marsh type area and grazing in front of us. No dolphins, but the ride was very comfortable and worth a try.

Response from John D, Owner at Waterbug Tours

We go out on our tours every time to find horses, dolphins and other wildlife. Wild animals being what they are don't always cooperate. That is why we mix a little history and folklore in to our tour to help our clients learn about the Beaufort area. Thanks for taking our tour and hope to see again soon. Captain Johnny Dickinson

Please don't miss the chance to go out on the water with Captain Peggy. She is so delightful and knowledgeable. It is evident she truly loves Beaufort, and she knows all the good stuff about Rachel Carson, Shackleford, Beaufort, and more. We enjoyed the sunset cruise immensely.

We had a nice ride up the waterway. Didn’t see any wild horses but enjoyed the narrated tour and view of the historic homes.

This is a nice little boat tour of Taylor's Creek and Beaufort waterfront area. This is a great way to see some wild horses and hear some history of the area. The tour only takes about an hour, so it doesn't tie up the whole day, leaving time for shopping and a waterfront meal.
