My daughter (12) and I went on the tree top tour 0n 4/05. We arrived for our 10:30 adventure with plenty of time to spare. Signs on the interstate easily directed us to the site. Check-in was easy as we had completed the required paperwork before hand and just needed to be weighed and COVID checked. From a safety perspective, I was very pleased with the process and help of all the staff. They were very clear on what to do and not to do. (Just hang on tight for the most thrilling part - the 4 wheel drive van ride up the very step access road to the first platform.
Zax was our guide and was exceptional from a instructional perspective and his knowledge of nature between the Zip platforms (More on that later) was good
The Zipping consisted of 3 different length lines where you walked between them on trails. The second zip was outstanding and long.
So the walk between them was interesting. It was a slow deliberate hike (usually around 0.25 miles). The guide would stop and tell you about rotting logs, poison ivy, tree inclusion by self pruning, and a variety other topics all designed to make the walk take longer because the next group ahead of you were on the next platform and if you were to go straight there, you would be waiting on them longer had Zax not imparted his Naturic wisdom on us : ). My really only complaint is that the groups are scheduled too close together. I realize this is done to maximize the zip lines but Navitat needs to review the time spacing to better enhance customer experience and reduce the wait times at each platform. For example, our group had just started Zipping on the first line when the next group approached the platform and had to wait.
No other complaints other than waiting. It was well worth the $100 per person spend. Kudus to the Navitat team. Everyone we encountered was EXTREMELY friendly and conversational. I would have rated it exceptional but the wait time could have been managed better.

The whole experience was awesome. The guides are super friendly and highly organized . We took a trip that involved 3 zip lines and involved a bit of hiking in between. Just do it, It’s the most fun you will have in a long a time! The scariest thing actually is the drive to get you up the mountain. It’s bumpy as hell on narrow dirt roads! Alison was our guide for the afternoon and she was very welcoming and friendly. She also had good knowledge of the area which made for some interesting conversation; my daughter couldn’t stop asking her questions! The zip lines are pretty long . The first was about 1500 ft and took about 25 seconds the second was the longest at about 3500 ft and took over a minute . At one point you are 350 ft above the canopy floor! The last was about 2500 ft and also offered a spectacular zip through a tree tunnel. You will reach speeds of up to 65mph , but don’t worry you will be slowed at the end by an automatic breaking system before you land on the platform on the other side.
It’s not a cheap day out by any means but when you look at what you are getting , you will not get many better opportunities to do something this amazing very often, and when you consider the investment it took and the logistics to get this organized, it’s well worth every penny.
On a side note the staff were wonderful too. We ordered a photo which was sent electronically and we received the wrong picture. We didn’t know the correct number so I emailed and the staff sent us all the pictures form our tour so that we could find it within a few minutes.
Thanks once again for a memorable trip!

We had such an amazing time at Navitat!! We had a large group of 10 and they were accommodating and lovely. A member of our group was on crutches and got to ride along on the ATV with JC and loved his commentary. The rest of us were kept entertained by Lyn and Gus, and we learned so much! Highly recommend this even for first time zippers, and the crew made us all feel comfortable and safe the whole time

We came on a large family trip and had 9 on the ropes and one on crutches in the RTV follow vehicle. Super marvelous staff (Lyn, Gus, JC) who explained everything and demonstrated making us feel safe and comfortable so that we could enjoy the views and the epic experience. The hikes to the next platform were interspersed with stops to discuss the terrain, history of the compound and nature facts that were both interesting and fun. These well-placed stops also gave us a chance to catch our breath and made the hike “one size fits all”. We enjoyed the banter on the platforms and Gus took tons of great pictures for us! Lyn was so relational and fun and we felt like we fit right in and they fit right in our family. JC brought our casted/crunching family member to meet us at all the platforms and that made us very happy since we didn’t want her to miss things. The views and experience of flying over the treetops was the most amazing experience. We loved every single moment and Lyn, Gus and JC made it so perfect. They even suggested other restaurants and spots to go during our visit in Asheville. We highly recommend Navitat for anyone visiting the area. Lovely people, breathtaking views and a great experience. Safe, fun, relational, 10/10!

Our family of 4 did the mountain top tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Felt very safe the whole time. The views were breathtaking. It was a very well operated business and the whole process went very smoothly from booking and then check-in and through the adventure. Our tour guide, Zax, did a great job of trying to connect with our group and on the walks in between the zips he gave info on plants, trees, zips, etc. All 4 of us, ages 12-43, enjoyed it and would recommend zipping with Navitat!

This was my partner and I’s first time zip lining. Polly, our guide, was absolutely exceptional! She was knowledgeable, funny, and definitely helped us to have a great experience. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The zip line experience itself was exhilarating and the views were breathtaking, especially being peak foliage weekend for fall. Be aware that the van ride to the top of the mountain is an off-roading experience and there are some brief mild to moderate nature walks along the way. You will spend a couple of hours in the woods. You can take your phone, but the guides take pictures during your experience that are affordable, so we left ours behind and enjoyed the experience phone free, This was the highlight of my trip to Asheville, and I would definitely recommend Navitat. We would definitely come back.

Three of us went on a girls trip to Asheville for the weekend and added ziplining to our agenda. Only one of us had ziplined before so for two of us it was a new experience. The company was super great about highlighting all their safety features. Emma assisted me in to my harness (and I am not a small girl) and was super friendly and Sam, our van driver, was also very helpful but our two guides (Ethan and Donovan) were the BOMB! They kept our group of 8 moving nicely throughout the course, answered all our questions, and were just all in all great guides. The company is located about 35 minutes away from our hotel in Asheville and was well marked with signs. We were required to wear masks in all the indoor spaces but not the outdoor ones. We went at 11 a.m. and got back around 1:30 p.m. It was a nice temperature on the course. I wore my sun glasses but probably didn't need to. I purchased an around the neck cell phone holder ($5) so I could take pictures of my own on the way. Donavon took pictures as well and you can purchase individual pictures or all the photos for $35 (which to me was the better deal). We wore workout pants, sneakers (you have to have closed toe shoes), and a long sleeve top. You have to wear a helmet so be mindful of high pony tails. Low (nape of the neck pony tails are best). You can put the helmet over a ball cap (one of our group did that). It is customary to tip your guides and we went with $10/pp in our group. I liked that all the guides had Venmo accounts. That made tipping easy. They do have tipping envelopes in the office for anyone with cash. The only thing that would have made our experience was a food truck on the premise (maybe Tacos?). We were hungry after our adventure and would have hung around and played some of their outdoor games and enjoyed a little more time there.

We did the Mountain Top Zip Line with Ethan and Lyn as our tour guides. They were amazing leading us through this experience. Lots of helpful tips to get the most out of the zips and while hikes between lots of fun facts about the nature around us. Don't want to spoil too much but there are 3 zips each one unique but awesome!! Be fit enough to climb 5 flights of stairs as there is some uphill hiking between zips. I found the downhill part harder than the uphill part. You have to be sure footed. There was a lady who's grandkids participated but she took a 4 wheeler to watch from the different platforms. Highly recommend 10/10. Also pay for the pictures if you don't want to risk losing your phone, you will not get the same kind of pics as they take

We didn't spend too much time reading up on other peoples experiences before booking this and just knew it was highly rated.
All the staff were wonderful. They were friendly, personable, and energetic. We definitely felt like they wanted us to really enjoy our experience.
Lex, our guide, was extra wonderful! The short walks between the zipline stations were great nature tours as she told us about the various trees and plant life around us, and then she was very detailed in explaining how the ziplining itself would work when the time came. She definitely took a really good experience and made it great!
The short hikes were great and the ziplining itself was thrilling. We did the mountain tour which includes three ziplines, and they were all really fun and exciting. I'm glad we didn't spend too much time reading reviews and just booked it and went so we didn't know exactly what to expect and just be in it while we were there.
Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been ziplining and to many treetop obstacle courses all over the world. I came across Navitat while researching our trip to Asheville and what was offered by the Mountaintop Tour seemed really different. We made reservations about a month in advance and are so glad we did this on our trip!!
The trip itself was run very efficiently which I appreciated. Our group had nine participants plus our guide, Devon, who was excellent. The tour started on time and when we were led up to the briefing area, four other employees came out of nowhere and got us harnessed up in no time. We were then led to a van where we climbed up a very dusty, bumpy road for about 1,000 feet in elevation gain to the top of the mountain.
The tour goes down three ziplines which at first I though, that's it?, but trust me when I say it is SO much fun and totally worth the money. These ziplines are longer and faster than nearly any we've even been on. And having all three be side-by-side was really fun. Along the way, Devon taught us so much about the trees and plant life. The tour took exactly 2.5 hours as advertised and was such a blast. Definitely book this tour, even if you've been ziplining before!

At the end of each zip line is there someone at the end to help you stop safely? I'm wondering because I do have some back problems but loved zip lines before the back problems.

Hey there! We have automatic breaking systems on each of our zipline tours. So you will first come into contact with that then our guides will take care of the rest. Please don't hesitate to give us a call at 1-855-628-4828 if you would like to continue discussing further!

Considering the Mountaintop tour. I have ziplined once in Costa Rica back in 2003. Since then I have slowly disliked roller coasters with drops more and more--I hate that stomach dropping feeling. I don't mind ones that go a bit fast or curve as long as there aren't super big drops. I am wondering how fast it feels like you go on this and is there that stomach dropping feeling? Thanks in advance!
Written July 20, 2019
I didn't have a stomach drop feeling. It was exciting but not like free falling.

We are booked for blue ridge on Friday aug 10 at 1:20. Weather looks like possible thunderstorms throughout the day. Do y'all shut down during storms or rain and if so is the money reimbursable or a raincheck offered.

I believe they still zip if light rain but not during thunderstorms-

Can I change my adventure from the Blue Ridge experience to the Moody Adventure tour? After I paid online for the blue ridge experience within the 72 hour period? Thanks alot
Written May 12, 2018
Hello, if you are outside of our 72 hour time frame, we are able to make any changes you'd like to your tour. Otherwise we are not able to. Please feel free to call us to discuss it further, or with any other questions. Thank you!

I can find very little regarding the cost for one adult to do the zip line tour, can you provide the costs please ? thank you kindly

how long does the Blue Ridge experience tour take? The website said 2-2.5hrs. Will the actual time take longer than that? Thank you!
Written August 27, 2017
Ours was pretty close to 2.5 hours - they are pretty organized and efficient, and they keep each group limited to 8 people.

The best item to get is a multi card reader for your computer. Then you can read the flash card. Or if you don't have a computer, have a buddy read the card and put them on the cloud to access.

Will be in Asheville with a group of women, ages 60-75, first-timers. Which adventure would you recommend?
Written July 27, 2017
I've only done the Blue Ridge experience and I loved it. I'm in my 60's, first timer and didn't have an issue at all. There's only 1 part of the hike that is somewhat steep, but they take their time on it, and go at the speed of the group, so I think it will be OK. Which ever one you choose, you'll have a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We plan to do Moody Cove next time we're in the area.
Written July 28, 2017
what is the difference btw the Moody Cove and Blue Ridge tours?
Written July 2, 2017
We did Blue Ridge, which is a series of three zips and four hikes, higher, faster and longer than Moody Cove, which I believe is a series of about six zips plus ropes course and rappelling. I'm sure it's amazing too. Have fun!
