We went to Sugar Mtn for New Years with the kids and had a really good time. The kids were able to go on the lift and ski after prating in the kid area for some time. There is even a place to leave the kids and the wife and I got to go down together, well kinda together, the... More

Sugar mountain has snowboarding and skiiing. Even though no snow this winter...fake snow was being blown the entire day. Don't stand in front of blowers too long or you will be drenched. Don't go to edge of runs or you hit ice (depending on temperatures). Runs for all levels. Windy at the top he day we went. All staff interaction... More

The addition of the Gunter's Way ski run four years ago and the Summit Express lift were much-needed improvements. As always, the resort gets way too crowded during weekends and holidays, and I vowed never to return to any of these North Carolina resorts anytime other than weekdays. It's unfortunate that the past two seasons have had such sporatic weather.... More

We were fortunate to find #2-107 at Sugar Top Resort and it was GREAT! Beautifully decorated, well-equipped kitchen, and accommodates 5-6. Indoor heated pool and hot tub. Family friendly.

This ski resort is right on track to become the best in all southern mountain states! Our teenaged grandsons could stay here day and night doing their snowboarding routines! They went to classes 3 years ago and returned as experts.

Waste of money for half day skiing. You need to plan a whole day to visit this resort due to their lack of organization of renting equipment & no limit of occupancy. Rent your equipment from a offsite ski store if you want to get your moneys worth. Also, they will pack as many skiers in as they can to... More

Sugar Mountain does a great job of making a winter wonderland in the Carolinas...even without Mother Nature's cooperation. They have "state of the art" snowmaking, grooming and their new high speed chair.

Sugar has great slopes for more experienced skiers and snowboarders. The bunny slope is a bit much for beginners. However, the resort also has tubing, which is a blast! Great time with kids and adults!

The staff or teen kids working here are very rude and not helpful at all . They are to busy sitting and watching tv . So far not impressed at all . Big disappoint.
