We spent between 3 and 4 hours wandering the park on a recent afternoon. It is a self-guided tour but there are rangers throughout the fort to answer questions and provide additional information. There are also people in character as soldiers that add to the...More

This was a fun outing, plan for several hours to allow time to explore all the old fort buildings. There are even period dressed soldiers, happy to answer questions and even give a musket firing demo. The views of Lake Ontario are breathtaking. Bring a...More

This was an amazing historical park. We were able to climb 3 stories to the top of where the soldiers shot their cannons! It was amazing. The area was so big. We watched a "Soldier" shoot a musket and it was so loud!

Marvelous location. Scenic, re-enactments, tours, self tours and the restorations are well done. The layout of restored equipment gives you a better idea of how things were done and how combat took place. The anecdotes and history were out standing

A very interesting place to visit. See how the people have lived in this fort. You can enter all rooms and people dressed in "old" costumes will give a demonstration of shooting with old weapons. There is a nioce souvenir shop. At the entrance there...More

We went in early May and we're the only ones in the fort. It was worth braving the weather because we had the whole place to ourselves. Be sure to go to the museum and see the original flag, well worth it. The fort itself...More

an hour or all day. It is a beautiful spot and it really depends on what you are looking for in visiting here. They have interactive reenactments through out the day in the summer which were pretty interesting.

Sorry for the delay in the response but I’m not sure, I didn’t see anyone with dogs when we were there.
