We come here every year to get our tree. This year was a little different with the pandemic- we had to make an appointment to get our tree. While the time slots were very limited for the weekend after Thanksgiving, there were weekday slots. We chose Monday at 3:30 pm and it was lovely. We had the farm to ourselves! It felt like we got a little VIP service :) All staff was helpful and nice as usual. We met a gentleman who helped tie our tree to our car that is a Marist student that was such a nice young man. He was helpful, kind, took a moment to have a conversation with us and helped make the experience a nice happy and lovely one. While things are different, it was a nice treat to get the farm to ourselves. Glad they are taking the proper precautions to keep their patrons and their staff safe.

The staff member that walked us into the field to choose our tree was a great sport. Although we were experiencing a storm and we were soaking wet he allowed us to take our time with choosing the best trees.
Before leaving we purchased a few delicious treats from the Bakery....Apple cider donuts, oatmeal cookies and zucchini walnut Bread.

This is our 2nd visit to the farm this year. The first time was for apple picking and this time to pick out our first real Christmas tree as a family of 3. The reservation system was easy and we felt safe and socially distanced form folks given COVID. I hope they continue with the reservation system post COVID too. Great staff as well. We will definitely go back.

Been here many times. Made an incredible number of apple & pumpkin pies from this place. Its self guiding, you should just go and enjoy the place. The apple stores are loaded, bring lots of money the treats are very filling. it is family run for generations and it shows. During the season the place is over run by grand children, you never have a problem finding directions or a great basket of apples. Or have a seat and bust your pants on the donuts. I go with kids if I can to carry the baskets and spend all weekend making pies.

I've eaten so much there I can barely move.

If you go here on a date, wear boots, socks, & jeans (long) and bring towelettes and a small knife for the apples. If you get poison Ivy don't panic, just wash normally, use Oxydol bar soap on your hands, and exposed skin; it neutralizes the oils very quickly. Wash your clothes normally. Then bake pies, and eat till stuffed.

We get our tree from Wilkins every year and it's always a blast. Good tree selection, great apple cider doughnuts, wine tasting, farm store. . . they really have it all. The only downside most years is the crowds. This year they took reservations and it was amazing. The usual crowd was down to a safe an manageable size, no line down the road to get in, and everyone was wearing masks and distancing. Even the bakery was set up for outdoor pickup. Could not be happier!

I’ve been coming up to Wilkens for 34 years to cut down our Christmas tree. The last 4 or 5 years it really got very crowded and a little crazy. Last year was so bad we thought about not going back this year. However, This year, with the reservation system, was an absolute pleasure! It was so organized and easy!! So easy to choose a tree, get it transported to the baling area, and driving up with the cars! We were saying that we hope Wilkens will put this system in place permanently!!
Merry Christmas and Happy Nee Year!!

The Apple orchard is huge; I do wish there were some better signs to help guests navigate. Word of caution: the grass is wild in some areas and the land hilly, so if you have a baby/young toddler, we would advise against a stroller. Ours kept getting stuck and was hard to navigate in "hillier" areas.

After apple picking, stop at the bakery! The warm apple cider donuts with some hot coffee were the perfect ending to the trip:) i've been to a few apple orchards in the tri-state area and so far, these are the best i have had! near the farm store&bakery they have a cute hay bale tower that my toddler really enjoyed climbing. There are also some old parked tractors that kids may enjoy sitting on as well :)

Wilkens Farm has been part of our family traditions for over 20 years now. When my husband and I were just dating, we would come apple picking and cut down two trees for each of our homes. Each year, we continue these trips with our teenagers to pick apples and pumpkins in the fall and cut down our tree each winter.
The farm is run by family and family friends who are always friendly and helpful. It is the family atmosphere that brings us back to Wilkens each and every year. Even in the midst of a pandemic, they were able to make it a fun experience for all of us.
Merry Christmas!

We’ve been going to Wilkens for years and they never disappoint. Friendly, helpful staff, wonderful selection of trees, delicious bakery items and cider, etc. This year proved no different even with Covid restrictions. Wilkens did a terrific job organizing advance reservations and maintaining a safe but fun experience. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is because one of the items we purchased at the bakery (Apple cinnamon bread) unfortunately wasn’t placed in the bag which we didn’t realize until after we arrived home.

This was our 11th year coming to Wilkens to cut down our Christmas Tree! We always love the experience and we were concerned that it wouldn’t be as nice this year. However the farm handled it wonderfully and in many ways the experience was even better. While we missed the tractor ride and watching the donuts being made; the farm wasn’t overly crowded and has very few lines if any. We will be returning for many years to come.
