When i forst booked this experience i thought it was a little pricey but for what your getting and the experience of a lifetime it was well worth it. I do want to say that when i arrived home the next day i tried to look for my video online which i had purchased and could not find it so i called the ifly in westchester and spoke to Maria and she was VERY VERY RUDE!!! i asdked her why i was unable to find the photo and she said you need to read the card we gave you and i said to her i already did that and her response was "Well then why are you calling" that put me in a really bad mood and asked for her supervisor and she looked for it for me and found out that for some reason they never tagged our name and it was in the wrong time slot so my question was a valid one - its a shame because the rest of my experience was good till i spoke to that nasty girl!!

My girl friend and I tried the indoor skydiving on July 15th. We were nervous but overall the flight experience was good. We had to pay an extra $10 to fly up in the wind tunnel with the instructor, considering the experience is already so experience it should have been an included option.
My only negative experience was that we learned that the camera was not working the day we were there. No one told us this, so everyone that day was being directed to a camera, smiling and all that all to get no pics.
Then when we went to the website do download our videos, the person that uploaded them did not save them with our name. I had to look at all of the low quality videos and try to decipher who I. It was not easy and I had to look at them more than once.
That totally ruined it for me especially since we paid $190 for the two of us to get this 2 minute experience.

We officially know what it feels like to fly. We didn't jump out of a plane, or bungee jump off a crane, we stood on the ground then took flight, just like superman. iFly, an indoor skydiving facility, just opened a location in Westchester. This brand new wind tunnel experience is so cool, if you're at all curious about skydiving or flying it's a must do!
Although no one in my party had prior experience with indoor flying, I've tried skydiving once and my boyfriend, Monte, is a certified skydiver. Our four year old daughter, Brooklyn, hadn't tried anything quite like this, so we were curious to see if her enthusiasm would match the reality of actually doing it. Well it was a success and we are all three super fans now. Here's how the day went:
We each opted for two one minute flights. The second of which was a 'high' flight, you pay more but go higher. Once all checked in we were allowed into the main part of the facility which has the wind chamber in the center of the room. The tunnel itself is enclosed in glass so we could see everything going on. We took seats on couches and watched other people fly while waiting for our class to start. A group of professional skydivers happened to be practicing tricks while we waited. It was so cool to see the moves they were doing. They looked like astronauts floating around in space, doing flips, spinning and just having a really good time.
We didn't wait long until we were called into our class. We met in a room just off the lobby and watched a video, about 5 minutes, followed by instructions from our flight instructor, about another 5 minutes. The basic take away is that body position is key. It's important to keep your chin up, arms reached in front with elbows bent and legs extended back with knees slightly bent. We also learned hand signals so the instructor could communicate with us to bend, straighten or put our chin up while we were in the chamber. It was so loud in the wind tunnel we couldn't hear anything so it was important we got familiar with the signals prior.
Once class wrapped we all got jumpsuits, goggles, earplugs and helmets. They also provided free lockers for our belonging.
At this point I was very excited for myself, but a little worried about how Brooklyn would handle the giant blast of air that was about to hit her. When our instructor asked who wanted to go first she jumped right up and volunteered. He stepped into the tunnel first and held her hands as he led her into the chamber. Her face lit up with a gigantic smile when the wind carried her body up and her smile stayed until we left the facility! She LOVED it. The instructor had good control of her and guided her body so she could enjoy the experience. He helped her regain control of her flapping limbs and ensured she stayed safe and always within his reach. One minute felt like a surprisingly long time! When she came out she volunteered me next.
I stepped into the wind tunnel and the instructor took care of me the same way. I was immediately surprised at how different it felt to breath in such a forceful tunnel of wind. It's like sticking your head out of a car window going 80+ miles an hour. It didn't quite take my breath away, I just had to make a conscious effort to breath normally. I adjusted quickly and remembered the proper body position. It was an easy and comfortable, although unnatural feeling of flight. It's such a strong sensation of wind but the goggles keep your eyes protected. I did notice a slight strain in my lower back. It wasn't bad but I did take notice. If you have any back issues or have ever had a dislocated shoulder this sport/experience is not for you.
As I stepped out I greeted my boyfriend with a huge smile then he took off. He's experienced at skydiving and confidently had control of his body and enjoyed soaring through the tunnel and experimenting a little. The instructor joined him throughout his flight as well but allowed a little more freedom since Monte had some experience.
And then I realized I had spit and snot all over my face. I was SO embarrassed, I had been standing around smiling at everyone and chatting for several minutes before i realized I looked like a toddler. It was the wind's fault.
After everyone had a turn it was time for our high flight. This was amazing. My daughter and I each squealed in delight during our turns. We soared much higher than our fist flights and whirled around spinning up to the top of the tunnel then back down. The whole time our arms were linked to our instructor. It was so invigorating and surreal.
Afterwards we unsuited and took a look at the photos their crew took of each of us. We got the photo and video packages and talked about when we could go next. We decided to go to Costco just down the street before heading back to NYC and guess what we found there...discount gift cards for iFly!!! We snagged a few of them, $39 for two flights. We can't wait to go again.

Took two 15 yr old during Spring break. Although they enjoyed themselves during the actual flight, you're in the tube for just 60 seconds. (There's a timer)
We purchased the 2 flights each package with video. So that's 2 minutes each, with a 1 min video each for $150.00. To go up high, is an additional $10, and its part of that minute. So 30 seconds flying, and 30 seconds "high flying".
THAT IS IT!
They need to lower their prices. It's just not worth it.

Found this place yesterday while visiting a customer account. Stopped in and grabbed a brochure. They asked if I was going to fly. I said not today, and since today the 24th was my sons birthday it would make a great birthday present. Drove the two and half hours out here to be told he couldn't fly until 3 pm. No where on their website does it say you must make reservations. I've been in the sales industry for 21 years, and would do just about anything to keep or make a customer want to do business with me. I called the main location and they told me who to ask for here. So I did. I was then told in person they couldn't do anything, except put my son in some other group. Remember that it's his birthday and I was going to fly with him and get the video clips a $150 package. Instead they wanted me to put him with a bunch of strangers, pay more money for a single flyer and no video. Don't waste your time or money at this joke of a place.

1) waiting time is ridiculous, even though we arrived on time.
2) at the time of purchase they dont tell you that we'll only be hovering the bottom of the tube and would be required to pay additional fees to actually fly as the name of the company suggests.
3) "The entire iFLY experience lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes" again
this statement is misleading. Actual fly time (if you call hovering flying) is 2 minutes. $100 for 2 minutes is EXCESSIVE !! NEVER AGAIN

Scelene, we apologize if you didn't have the best possible experience with us. Though we don't anticipate anybody waiting too long around here, it happens on occasion, typically during our busier weekend hours.
For safety reasons, your instructor stays with you the majority of your first visit in the wind tunnel. The sensations are new to most, and it would be a huge liability for both us and yourself if we let you fly freely without proper training.
When we speak to the entire experience, we include the pre-flight training, gear-up, post-flight demonstration, and wrap-up in that entire "experience" timeframe.
Here, the price for each flyer for a 2-minute flight is less expensive compared to a tandem skydive. A tandem skydive averages $200.00 with an average free fall of 45-55 seconds, whereas we offer multiple minutes of flight time at a fraction of the cost, giving first-time flyers a taste of what's possible in this exciting new sport of indoor bodyflight.
We hope this helps explain our policies a little better,
The team at iFLY Westchester

Booked a party with Ifly via email/phone over a month before the big day... I must say that I had to continuously contact Ifly and never received either a phone call or email until I started to send emails with a "Delivery & Read" Receipt from the recipient... Then I had my guests fill out the waiver online so it would not take time away from checking in and that was screwed up. I got to my party as the hostess a 1/2 earlier and thank god I did... I was told my party wasn't even booked, I was asked if it could of been under another name, thank god I had my paperwork with me.. Then when asked who I dealt with and I informed them Kris Beavers, of course he was out that day.. They had another party booked & I had to be put in the conference room which was fine as the room was bigger but my flight time got pushed back 1/2 hr (kids were getting bored) and they had to scramble to get my food there.. They had no idea what was booked for me as far as package...Plus when we were in the room, nobody every came in to see if we needed anything, I served the pizza/drinks to the kids myself with their moms.
It was horrible all the way around except when the kids got to fly, they enjoyed that but NOT for the $$ spent even though I had a discount with Costco Vouchers which were honored...
Would not recommend this facility to book a party, apparently they don't know what they are doing..
Horribly run business, I truly am due a refund...

Fun, unique experience but way too expensive. The family five pack was $342 for five people, two one minute flights each. It took us longer to suit up and watch the instructional video than to actually fly. And here's a kicker, your flight only includes being 6' off the ground. If you'd like to fly up high, like you see online, that's an additional $10. Interested in pics/videos...that's an additional $3.95/$7.95. The upselling is pretty annoying considering the price.
I have still yet to purchase the videos from our day because one of my videos is missing. Customer service seems to be non-existent. I haven't had my calls or emails returned. Also, when you are returning your gear there are signs all over the counter asking for tips. I think the instructors do a great job and deserve tips but this is tacky.
While we all really enjoyed the experience this was a one time deal for us. I think it's great that almost all ages can do this too (3 and up). If you could get some kind of deal it's a fun experience (as long as you don't run into any customer service issues).

My friends and family went as a party of 7 two weeks ago. Sammy the instructor was awesome, flying was a blast. The party package was $800! On top of that, everyone forked over an additional $10 each to "fly high" with the instructor, about 20 feet in the air. The package included vouchers for video downloads. Here's where the problem starts.
First, not all the videos are tagged, and they are show in low resolution from far enough away that it's a massive pain to watch all of them and look for yourself. Second, not everyone's video was there! I watched all 16 videos several times, and most of the high flying were never posted. For close to $1000 with tip, I expect all videos to be there and for all of them to be tagged with names! The website is awful; it looks like it was built back in the heyday of Flash and doesn't scale well when scrolling and playing videos.
I called to inquire about all of this and initially I was told "you have to just go through all the videos". After 20 minutes on the phone, Sammy himself jumped on and admitted that the media system is behind the times. I initially was making this a 2 star review, but made it 3 after he joined the call.
Additionally, for all that money, you get precious little time in the wind tunnel, and our turn went an hour late because they were already behind.
In the end, go for the experience, but save your money on the media. The videos we were able to obtain were cool, but not earth shattering. I also purchased some pics, which for what they were, were exorbitantly expensive.

I HAVE VISITED 7 IFLYS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST MANAGED OF THEM ALL. DO NOT buy a package of minutes because they will not give you time to use them. They only want new business because they can charge more. We purchased 3 blocks of 10 minutes to fly the family and when I went to use them they gave me a space for the end of JULY (LOL) but the place was empty. We spent $700 and they couldn't make a space for us. The manager did not try to accommodate us either.
Then I tried to purchase minutes for a return flyer and he said that I cannot get return flyer price because I flew more that 48 hrs ago, can you believe that crap. Unfortunately this is the only one around so we are stuck with lousy customer service. YOU DECIDE!

How many flights would you recommend. Is 2 enough or should we go for the all four?
Written January 14, 2019
We did two—it was fun. But I think 4 would be twice as fun.

Hi. Will be in Manhattan and without a car - excluding a taxi - that is the best way to get to and from the facility? Is subway and or train an option? Approximately what is commute time? Thank you in advance for your response.
Written July 16, 2018
If you take public transportation it will be almost a 2 hour ride. There is no train that takes you directly to and from there. If you are taking public transportation, Depending where u are in Manhattan, you will need to take a train and about 2 buses to ge there. Easiest way to get to ifly is a car and its takes about 30mins to get there from Manhattan. You probably want to rent a car

My son is just turned to 3. Is he ok to fly and be able to follow the instructions?
Written April 27, 2018
Yes but it’s noisy and he/she would be with an instructor (not mom or dad).
Written April 28, 2018
Yes! If your child is a daredevil or even a shy kid it is fun. It fulfills their dreams of flight.

hi, how much time I'll spend flying into the tunnel ? and do my wife stay outside the tunnel looking me and taking her movie when I'll fly ?
Written February 26, 2016
Usually 1-2 minutes depending on the package. Tour wife will watch you, unless you both have experience in flying.
