A wonderful spot to visit and see how the monks live. We did not take a tour but looked around in our own. There is a beautiful trail that leads down to a pond that is very peaceful.

This is a unique and interesting insight into the buddhist religion. Our guide was an expat european who was interesting as well, but we would have preferred a more authentic representative. We learned a lot about buddhism. Recommend if you have interest in the subject.

Such a beautiful place - I love wandering around their bookstore to find things to read, and just love the main shrine room to meditate.

Cultural place to stop and admire. It's not very big, but the public can sit in the main shrine room, sans footwear and meditate or observe the shrine. Some people were actual Buddhists, but most were there, like me, to get a feel for the...More

Loved the architecture of the building, a solemn place to sit and pray. There are also 2 other small old buildings for prayer that are more rustic. Very nice

If you have never seen a genuine Buddhist temple this is worth the trip. The place is decorated in a very colorful, gilded, ornate and colorful way. This is not a tourist trap but a working place of worship. The main room where the statue...More

Sorry, I don't know their schedule. I'd suggest you contact them directly. It seems the timing of some of their events are fluid.

Can't remember but relatively early. The grounds are sort of open, and there is a board on the outside of the bookstore with hours for the temples.

I hear this monastery is located atop a hill/mountain. Is there any hiking trail that culminates in this monastery? We are not from the area, so have no clue. If you have any details, please help.
