Cute little vineyard
Aug 2021
Stopped here on the way to Chimney Bluffs park. Cute little vineyard that also offered some local salsas, BBQ sauces, etc. If in the area, would most likely stop here again to spend a little more time to sample.

Small Winery, Nice Selection, Pleasant Staff
Aug 2021
Angie was hour server when we visited. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and made conversation with us while we enjoyed our wines. When everybody reviewing says small, we mean small. There is one table with four chairs and a small bar. However, this is far off the beaten path so you may not experience the crowds you do when you visit the larger operations that are back to back along the other lakes. We were there early in the week and had no issues enjoying our wines. Yes, it is right down the street from the East Bay Parking Lot of Chimney Bluffs State Park. We left with a few bottles as we did enjoy our tastings. Angie was also helpful about other things to see in the area, as well as. local dining options. Fun Visit. Recommended.

Nice Secluded winery

This is near the entrance to the state park. Very small and quaint. Staff was super and the white wines were excellent. Definitely worth the trip especially if you are at the state park anyway

Cute little winery

The smallest winery in this area. Our server was very knowledgeable of the wines. My favourite was the Hunters moon which is red wine. Tasting is 4.00 for 5 pours very reasonable.

This is a lovely and friendly small winery right down the street from Chimney Hill. Prices are good. The wine is well constructed.

Winery Close to Chimeny Bluffs State Park
Jul 2017 • Family
We had seen several signs advertising Thorpe Vineyard. We decided to visit it since we were visiting Chimney Bluffs State Park, close by.

This is a very small winery! The lady inside was not very friendly or outgoing, but she was knowledgeable about the wines and which ones had won awards. My husband and daughter paid for tastings and enjoyed them. They purchased one bottle of wine and were satisfied with their selection.

Upon first impressions, it's small and looks out of place in a small rural residential area. However, the small selection of wines were decent and the prices are average for vineyards on the wine trail.

Tiny winery on Lake Ontario
Sep 2015 • Couples
We were heading for The Bluffs nearby and saw numerous signs for the location for at least 20 miles thus setting up higher expectations with each sign.

I noted comments from others on the "tasting lady", we too thought (at first) her unfriendly but found instead she was most business like and efficient, nothing wrong with that. She knew her wine and how to pour it.

This is about the wine however. We are seasoned wine drinkers and purchase a lot of wine thus have solid expectations and were quite disappointed! Living in the Finger Lakes we have visited literally dozens of wineries and have never before left a winery sans purchase of at least one bottle! We took the dry wine flight, white and red, and found all frankly sub-par. Dry is our preference, perhaps the sweet varieties were drinkable.
