Whiteface may have made its name in winter, it has the highest vertical drop in the east, after all but it does summer pretty well too. The warmer months make Whiteface a natural setting for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels and ages, whether you're looking for an adrenaline rush or just an afternoon of beautiful views with your family. Take a hike along the Stag Brook Falls trail or Bear Den Mountain, play a round of Disc Golf and check out the area's most exhilarating, challenging Mountain Biking terrain. Or gather the family for an afternoon of taking it all in with a Scenic Cloudsplitter Gondola Ride to the summit of Little Whiteface. Drive the Whiteface Veteran's Memorial Highway to the summit, and lean into the Adirondack breeze as you marvel at the world below you. This well-known mountain offers exciting and scenic runs for skiers of all levels: Beginners do well on Easy Acres, which features its own ski school, novices and intermediates enjoy Little Whiteface, while experts head to the heart-pounding summit.

It is so worth to visit here, you may see Canada, and you may see many Peaks when you on the top, and peaks map is fixed on the top.

Visited Whiteface Mountain Oktoberfest this year...they charge $16.00 per person entrance fee which buys you nothing except listening to the traditional German folk music. All the food and rides etc. are extra $. We tried the Sausage rolls and found them bland and not worth the $6.50. Beers are $7.00 per pint. They had craft booths which were average, we... More

We hiked it in November, so if you do it during this time be ready for quite some ice on the trail and crazy wind but the views from the top are amazing!

The trip to Whiteface is along country roads and there are beautiful views along the way. The mountain itself was colorful and impressive when we visited this fall. We took some especially nice photos at the entrance. Everyone at the facility was pleasant and answered our questions.

It was a good experience for me to visit the Whiteface Mountain. Though it was a bad luck for me that I couldn't be able to reach the highest point of the mountain as the top was closed because of snowy weather. However, I liked the area that is flourished with extreme trees and amazing lakes.

Its known for difficult terrain, interesting conditions, cold afternoons, and bad parking. But it’s the only Olympic Mountain on the east coast for a reason. Lots of terrain for all skiing abilities, really long runs, and has one of the lengthiest vertical drops of any mountain in the US. If you are a skier, you won’t care about the lines,... More

Gondola and lookout point were beautiful. To walk up to the summit was a little unclear and not the best trail. Definitely not a family friendly hike but a killer workout! Would love to come back in the winter months.

We were in town mid October, and took the highway route 86. This passes right in front of Whiteface mountain. The colours were absolutely "to die for" spectacular. Make sure to drive by and get out and enjoy this colourful natural artists paradise :-)

One day, we drove up the Veterans Memorial Highway to the top lot. The elevator was broken, so we walked up the stairs and rocks to the top. Another day, we took the gondola up Little Whiteface. That was a fabulous ride, although the views of foliage were actually better on the ride than they were at the top. We... More

We came in May and although the sights were fine, as the leaves just came out the trees were still kinda bare so it wasn't spectacular. The elevators to the summit were broken but we were still charged the full price to drive up to where the castle is. It was a fun walk up the summit but it could... More
