We enjoy stopping on this trail as an alternative to traveling a little further into the Finger Lakes. Great, quality wineries as well as a distillery and cidery! Different than a typical wine trail, which is nice. Everyone was welcoming, fun and passionate about their products. Rightly so, they have reason to be!

There are eight winery's in this trail. We enjoyed them all. Take an afternoon to visit all of them. My three favorites are JD Wine Cellars, Young Sommer Winery and Inspire Moore. Everyone was great however these three wineries went out of there way to make our day special taking the time to interact with our group. The history was outstanding and interesting. By the end of the day we had bought 38 bottles of wine and are looking at doing it again soon.

We first followed the trail when we saw their "Christmas Around the World" event advertised. Each participating venue chooses a country and pairs food tastings from that country with their wine tastings. We had so much fun we did it again the following year with friends for my (big) birthday! Less well known that the Finger Lakes wine trails, you aren't elbowing up to the tasting bar with coachloads of friends you've never met. But the wines are excellent, and there are also a distillery and two cideries on the route. A $15 passport available online or at any of the participating locations gives you a free tasting at ALL of them, and you don't have to visit them all on the same trip. A grand day out just a short distance from Rochester, NY.
