Do you like Cabernet or Chardonnay? Great! How about Traminette or Valvin Muscat that didn't even exist until 2006? YS Winery is trying to reach a new level of winemaking in Finger Lakes / Ontario Lake region. Grapes you never heard of that taste great! Proximity of the Lake Ontario makes those grapes and wines unique. Price is more than... More

The wines are outstanding and made right on premises from their own fruit. The $3 tasting is worth it... helps you choose the wine that you WILL buy. Wilma and Herm are the finest people you will ever meet!

They are OUTSTANDING.... The wines have great flavor and appeal. The location is no so far that you can't get to them when you need to replenish your wine supply. The Senshu is the best sweet wine I have ever had. I recommend it to everyone. Maybe that's why it is always sold out, lol. Stop by in the Spring... More

This winery has grown a bit over the last couple of years. It now has a party room that can accommodate a pretty good size party. Staff is very nice!! The wine is great! They have a lot of kinds, sure that everyone can find one they like....dry to sweet.....to fruit varieties. If you are looking to go someplace closer... More

Young Sommer winery is still growing, the owners moving from fruit wines, into grape wines and apple cider. Their Reisling won silver at the 2012 FLIWC. Nice down home people, it will be nice to watch this winery grow over the next few years.

This is a really fun winery on an unlikely spot. Generally we think of the Fingers Lakes as the place for wineries in New York. But Young Somer is a mile in from Lake Ontario- right in the middle of apple country. The whites are good. Good Cabernet Franc as well. The wines that join grape and apple are excellent.... More
