My wife and myself wanted to book just a 20min tour, which we then changed to the 45min evening flight, tough it had a higher price tag, every cent was worth it.
Our Pilot was Anthony and what can I say, I think we could have no better pilot than him. We started right when the sun started to set and I told him that I was afraid of heights, he was really calming and gave me every time the option to say we need to go back, we we did not because he did a fantastic job in calming me down and letting enjoy the flight.
thank you again Anthony for that awesome experience you gave, we truly enjoyed your company. 5/5 Stars. Greetings from Germany

I worked with Anna to charter a discovery flight out of Manhattan as one of a few activities planned on the day I asked my girlfriend to marry me. Anna was patient, gracious, and helpful.
Instead of a standard tour or engagement package, I opted for a 30-minute discovery flight for my then-girlfriend and myself in the R-44 helicopter, which included a trip to Connecticut and back. Instructor Pilot Anthony was incredible! We tremendously enjoyed his company, his flight skills, and his style of teaching. Anthony had the rare type of energy that just seems to effortlessly inspire confidence and make everyone around him calm. If I didn't live in Virginia, then I'd go to Anthony for all of my flight instruction needs.
We captured some great photos and videos of the experience, and memories that will last a lifetime. After we landed, we rode the high of the great experience, and I took my girlfriend to a couple other activities in the Hudson Yards area, where I proposed. She said yes :)

We had a short flight for a family with 20-months old boy. It was our first flight and we were not sure how toddler would take it. He liked it and we enjoyed watching him happy. We plan to be back for a longer ride

We had the best experience with Wings Air Helicopters. We booked them for a gender reveal a few back and they delivered the news epically. The helicopter flew over our home in Long Island and it was the most incredible experience for both us the parents and all our family and friends. If you’re thinking to book them for a gender reveal you won’t regret it! Simply the best!

This was a great experience to fly from the west 30 heli port to once around Manhattan Island and finish of at Greenway Heli Port. We got to see eye to eye with the Statue of Liberty . Fly over the Hudson River, across Manhattan and down the East River. Everyone in our party said it was the best experiance.

This was my first introduction on piloting a helicopter. Main thing the staff and crew as very hard working. True to their roles and knowledgeable. Anna is a wonderful coordinator and Chris my instructor took the tome to explain all that he could given the time frame we had and great teacher. Instills confidence while in the air to know, that they have it under control.

My son and I took the 45 min flight. From the car pick up to the drop off back at the hotel, everyone we encountered was very nice and easy going. It was about a 50 minute drive to the airport which I wasn't expecting but thats on me because I am sure it was noted somewhere. Pilot was descriptive and knowledgeable. It was a really enjoyable time and glad I got to share it with my 15 yo, not many things are "valid" to him anymore.

It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. We planned a VIP helicopter ride for my mom's birthday and we all enjoyed every minute. We had a very warm welcome and the pilot was extremely friendly. Our experience was absolutely breathtaking, and we look forward to returning soon.

Recently my business partner and myself won an auction item at a local nonprofit. It was for an hour lesson and flight. I decided to sit back in the passenger seat and enjoy the view as my friend took the controls of the helicopter. Anthony was the pilot/instructor and he has patience beyond any mere mortal. We purchased an extra half hour of flying time and covered a lot of territory. The fall foliage was amazing from Long Island Sound up to Bear Mountain and West Point down the Hudson River over the Tappan Zee Bridge and returning back to Westchester Airport safe and sound. This is a great trip and recommend it highly..

The best thing we did on our trip to NY was to do a 30 min doors off (feet out) helicopter ride over NY.
It was simply amazing!!! You have to be lucky with the weather as we were as day before and after all flights were cancelled and you can only rebook a flight on another date(not good if only staying 6 nights)
We were lucky and I can not recommend this experience highly enough.
FLYNYON were really professional, lovely staff, safety was well covered.

Hello,
Your review is for the wrong company. We are Wings Air Helicopters, not FlyNYON. Although we do offer open-door flights as well, we do not allow feet outside the helicopter.

Yes we offer flight lessons where one person is controlling the aircraft (under instructor supervision) and up to 2 others ride along on the back seat, using our Robinson R44 helicopter.
