My wife and her family are from Rome New York. All three of our children have learned to ski at Woods Valley. It’s the perfect place to introduce beginners to skiing and snowboarding. The conditions are usually good and there’s plenty of beginner and intermediate runs do you enjoy.
The Lodge is very nice and clean and roomy. The café is completely rebuilt and there’s plenty of food selections for breakfast lunch and afternoon snacks. They even have a nice rustic bar that overlooks the beginner slopes very well done.
Woods Valley brings you back to the love of Winter skiing & Boarding

I booked and paid for a 90 minute semi private ski lesson for 2 people over the phone. Came 1/2 hour before the appointment.When I got there they had no record of the reservation. After getting the run around for 20 minutes they said they found it. My wife and daughter ended up missing 30 minutes of the lesson due to their error. On my way home I got a call from the owner accusing me of not paying. Short changed and insulted. Can’t say I would return.

I love it here! The lines on the lifts were not long at all unlike Hunter Mountain where in you have to wait for 20 min.
The line for the rentals was so quick! Only took us less than 5 min to get our equipment.
The trails were amazing! And it is not that crowded. And they are open until 9pm too so it helps if you can’t wake up early.

Easy access and drive to Woods Valley! Great slopes and tubing for all levels and very friendly staff! Covid safety guidelines observed strictly! Made me feel safe. And not crowded at all!
Dave, the ski instructor, was a great teacher!!! Made my ski day more enjoyable.
Love the local family owned business with family oriented feel.

Tubing was fun but the wait time to go down was way to high. Average 15-20 minutes to get up the hill and go down is a lot when you only have a two hour time slot. Only able to go down a handful of times. For the price I was not impressed.

Had a blast with the family snow tubing! Looking forward to going back next year. There were alot more people than last time so a little line each time to go up the hill but totally worth it!

We took our grandchildren, 13 and 7 snow tubing. They had a great time, and so did Papa and Amma ! Very organized, The staff at the ticket office and the staff on the hills were amazing. Very friendly, funny, and so personable! It was so great to see staff who really like their jobs. Can’t wait to take the grandkids again!

First time visiting this resort and I have to say what stood out the most to me was the staff. I took my tow little ones tubing and had a great time. The staff made the experience. Very interactive and polite. Great with the kids. Very helpful and active.

Have skied for 40 years and it never ceases to amaze me the attitude that some not all.of the smaller hills have. Asked to rent just ski boots for my kids and I was going to fit them to the bindings. Woman said no! Was shocked. Havd done this a dozen times with no issue. So rather then rent tbe boots possible sale of 12.00 the 2 junior lift tickets 65.00 and 40 dollar adult she would rather see us walk out tbe door. Woods Valley has not been tbe same in 20 years. Go elsewhere! Tog, Lab Royal Mountain where they go out of thier way to help you. Perhaps you may want this woman working in the back office no people skills. Like a drone!!!

Such an amazing day! The staff at the top of the hill were both fun and safe. Traveled with 3 children (ages 12, 10 & 9) and all 4 of us had a great time (I had planned to take one run and then wait for them - but I kept going back for more too).
