If you're even a little bit into history, this is a must see destination in the Eastern United States. Walking the grounds, taking a tour...you can literally feel the history. Amazing.

We took the 1 hour tour which did not include the cemetery or Fort Putnam, but then we drove our own car onto the campus to visit both. Driving onto campus was easy and we didn't have any problems with parking to visit... More

The Mamie's Buffet is part of the Eisenhower Theatre at West Point. Reservations are recommended. their phone number is (845) 938-4453 - ext 214. Do not know the cost.

Just shy of taking your sons to New York City, you can also take them to Bear Mountain Inn and Park.
