I've only ever been to the USMA for football games, but the campus is out of this world beautiful. West Point is full of history, and this is a must visit for anyone in the area.

We took the 1 hour tour which did not include the cemetery or Fort Putnam, but then we drove our own car onto the campus to visit both. Driving onto campus was easy and we didn't have any problems with parking to visit... More

The Mamie's Buffet is part of the Eisenhower Theatre at West Point. Reservations are recommended. their phone number is (845) 938-4453 - ext 214. Do not know the cost.

Just shy of taking your sons to New York City, you can also take them to Bear Mountain Inn and Park.
