Walking/hiking throughout the hilly "campus" of the US Military Academy provides plenty of breathtaking views and opportunities to work up a sweat. If you are attending an event there, give yourself an opportunity and time to hike around the post.

The United States Military Academy at West Point is THE place to visit in the Hudson Valley. With rich history dating to well before the Academy's 1802 founding, it is the longest, continuously-manned military installation in the United States. There are bus tours available, and if timed correctly (days of football games, for example), cadet "parades", where they march in... More

Our second year in a row bringing the kids up to West Point to play hockey. We love it nd have a lot of fun. We took a tour of the Military Academy and we learned a lot of history. It was so interesting and the grounds are immaculate! We learned about the Academy 's motto: Duty, Honor, Country and... More

If you have only a limited amount of time to spend exploring the Hudson Valley, a bus tour of the U.S. Military Academy should definitely be on your list. The 75-minute tour gives an excellent overview of this slice of Americana. My tour guide, Mary, was exceptionally knowledgeable about West Point. She shared all sorts of trivia and facts about... Visited The Academy twice last year. It has a museum and guided bus tour around the grounds. Views from the Academy over the Hudson are literally breath-taking and spectacular - literally "God's country". Would go more frequently even as a place of quiet meditation and reflection. It truly is that sort of place. Very happy with the visits although travel... More

I took my family here because my son had a swim meet here. A Historic and World-renowned Military Academy that creates our future leaders. Duty, Honor, Country. God Bless America!

The West Point orchestra performs many free concerts at trophy point. The combination of the fantastic music and the awe inspiring view of the Hudson River are a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening. For the history buffs, trophy point has a few interactive exhibits as well as cannon from the civil war through World War One.... More

We visited West Point with another couple on January 9 and 10. The tour was excellent and was a great way to start our visit. It was very nice to travel back to the Cathedral on our own after the tour. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much history. It was great to watch the cadets leave their... More
