We took the one hour tour... and it was amazing! The campus is so beautiful and the sight of these massive buildings is very impressive. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly... the museum was okay. Not so big, just the right size for a family... so definitely worth a stop!!!

In general, the only way onto West Point for civilians is as part of a guided tour. Fortunately, there's a great tour bus operation; the 1 hour 15 minute tours are informative and interesting, even if you don't have any connection to the armed forces. Definitely worth the time if your in the area. The tour buses are large and... More

Wow, this place is impressive. Of course it is. So it starts with a quick inspection of your car, understandable that security is tight. They scan the drivers licenses of all adults. From there you are free to check out the whole place. There were tons of cadets around to direct you or point you in the right direction. Makes... More

We only had a TV/movie appreciation of West Point, so doing the tour was a real eye opener. The guide conveyed a lot of facinating information. It's a fabulous site and being able to see some of the buildings and some cadets out on the grounds was great. Highly recommended.

I had taken the Naval Academy tour and loved it, visited the Air Force Academy and there isnt much of a tour and would put West Point in the middle of the two. Unfortunately, unlike Annapolis, you can only go into one building, the chapel. We took the last tour of the day and had to rush through the West... More

The campus is amazing. Enjoyed all of the pomp and circumstance of Graduation weekend. Cadets, staff, and faculty were helpful, respectful, and friendly. Wear comfortable shoes as the area is hilly and you will do a lot of walking. Beautiful sites.

There is no question that if you're in the area, this is a wonderful tour. West Point is an impressive place both from physical size and the architecture, but also from it's placement overlooking the Hudson River. The tour lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes (door to door), and the guide is chock full of useful information. But please know... More

Opinions on our military involvement worldwide aside, this is a remarkable place. The history - in particular it's role in the American Revolution - the architecture, and the views of the Hudson River were immeasurably impressive. If you don't make the trip, at least Google who graduated from West Point. It's astounding to see their achievements.

The bus tour is very interesting. Our trip was given by a 'military brat' and she had interesting tidbits from her personal experience while she lived on the base in addition to the facts that were presented. We did go into one of the chapels which was beautiful, and there was quite a bit of on and off the bus.
