Beautiful scenery on every part of the island. If you are careful you will see the local wildlife too... including some large water dragons if you are lucky. Be warned to watch your hat as it can be blowy on the coast walks.

If you are looking for that one picture perfect spot for your Rottnest photo, then this would it. The visuals are just stunning : crystal clear water, soothing waves, sunshine blue sky. I mean what else can look better?

A perfect spot for watching the 50+ of whales swim by and the seals playing and sunbathing with good walk ways and information boards. Not much shade around so come prepared.

Well worth the walk here to admire the variety in nature at such an isolated area. This was on the Grand Island Tour ( 4 hour) that covered the whole Island.

There is a platform leading to the beach of west end. Along the way you could see the wild flowers and sometime if you are lucky, you could spot some blue tongue skink (lizard). Beach view is tremendous as well - must visit place.

The West End of Rottnest is quite a hike from the settlement at Thompson's Bay where the ferries dock but it's worth the effort. If you hire a bike, the return trip will take several hours. Remember to take plenty of water with you. You...More

Depends. On a map, not far. On a very hot day, FAR. Allow yourself 60 to 90 minutes cycling each way, to allow for admiration and water stops. Worth the energy expended??? YES, glorious.
