A very easy, 70 km drive from Kalbarri. If you are looking for something, a little out of the ordinary, then I suggest a visit to Hutt River Province. It is a 'window' to another man's vision. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Prince Leonard,...More

This place is so different it highlights what happens when someone stands up for what they believe in. It is after all a large farm stead, where else can you have coffee with a Prince?

So you drive to the middle of nowhere and voila there is a self proclaimed territory within Australia! On our arrival we were greeted by a member of a royal family who was very friendly and told us loads about the history of the Province...More

This was a blast. I grew up with the news of this guy in WA who had seceded from Australia and it was wonderful to meet and chat to Prince Leonard in person even though he is now in his 90s, he was as sharp...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit after a rough ride on the unsealed road. The 'Prince' was charming and most informative about the whole setup. When he realised my wife came from East Fremantle as did his Mother he wouldn't take any entrance money from us.
