After our drive up from Perth, we thought we ‘d get our holiday activities arranged before checking in to our accommodation. The people working here could not have been less interested in helping. We definitely felt that we were putting them out, with our presence.
Information given was wrong, they also took my details down incorrectly. We found that out, from one of the owners of a local business, one of our activities had to be cancelled, bad weather, the visitors Center didn’t refund their booking fee.
Really disappointed, as we have always enjoyed everything else in Kalbarri.

Hi there,
I am so sorry that you experienced this in our centre. This is not how we want to make our visitors feel and we strive to make each encounter an informative and positive interaction.
I hope you'll give us another chance and come in and see our new happy team of staff to welcome you back to Kalbarri and give you any extra information that you need.
Regards, Raya @ KVC

I managed to contact them before I left home on this trip and Sophie was fabulous and very helpful. Since we've been here I have tried ringing them 7 times - 3 times the line just went dead after listening to it ring for a while - being cut off is very upsetting and annoying.- I know they're probably busy but good customer service would be to answer calls and then ask if the caller minds waiting. I was disappointed.

Very good but no passion for the Kalbarri area. It certainly has changed since we came for our honeymoon 32 years ago . I just thought there’s so much to offer here, but still seams to fall short somehow. If you want tourists to drive over 6 hours Kalbarri needs to do more .

Stopped by the Kalbarri Visitor Centre along Grey Street in the centre of Kalbarri and found this to be a good source of information for local tourism. They had maps, update on trail closures in the NP due to recent rains and water levels. Staff seemed friendly & knowledgable. A fair amount of souvenirs, clothing & related merchandise available as well. Opening hours 9-5pm (weekdays), 9-1pm (weekends).

Arrived late afternoon and joined the queue seeking information. Three ladies working and all busy but still healing with visitors with a smile. Our turn arrived and we received the necessary information on information and attractions for our three day visit. Great range of items on sale at fair prices.

We stayed in Kalbarri 2x. the first time was planned the second time because of change of plans. This was with Easter so on the internet I could not book anything. We called the visitor centre and they were able to assist us. Very friendly staff. Clean toilets behind the visitor centre. Nice enough shop too and clear information outside as well, so when they are closed the is information too.

The staff were quite friendly but did give us some wrong information. When we asked about the suitability of taking a pram down to nature's window they said it should be ok after the first set of stairs. They didn't take into account that the trail to the window required walking along the cliff side.
Otherwise, they were quite helpful and the center did have some souvenirs.
We were also able to get the tickets for entry into the National park from here.

Went in search of maps and local info and were served by a friendly, helpful lady. Would have liked to see more space devoted to info and less to merchandise!

Mira at the Visitor Centre was very helpful and friendly. She explained the options well.
It could have been made clearer that the 500m Loop walk trail was not on flat ground. It sounds reasonably innocuous in the literature but the trail began with a flight of steps and went steeply down and back up again over loose rocks. Had we known this we would have worn sneakers not sandals. After a long ride over a gravel road, it would have been a shame not to be able to walk it.

Maps, guide bookes, brochures, souvenirs - the usual offering at a visitor centre. Convenient location and helpful staff...

hi may i know did kalbarri national park closed on public holidays such as easter sunday and easter monday? thanks
Written March 23, 2018
Hi, Kalbarri National Park is open every day of the year. Passes can be purchased as you enter the park at the DIY payment booth or from the Visitor Centre prior.
Written March 24, 2018
The visitor centre was open when we were in the area but that was a couple of months ago now.
The whole area is well worth visiting and if you are interested in fishing, there are some great places to wet a line.
Regards
John

Heard that this place has been closed for temporary. Is that true?
Written May 27, 2017
The Visitor Centre is open as normal. 9-5 Monday - Saturday and 9-1 on Sundays.
You might have have heard the road into Natures Window and Z-Bend is closed. It will be open the first weekend of June and the weekends of the July school holidays. At other times it is possible to join a tour to visit these areas. The rest of the park is open ie Hawks Head, Ross Graham and the coastal lookouts. Just give us a ring on 9937 1104 for more info.
