We had a day to fill in whilst in the Harvey area. After a surprisingly wonderful visit to Stirling cottage and the Secret Gardens, we decided to quickly visit the Harvey Dam which is a short drive out of town.We experienced another pleasurable experience. Clean, shady, well designed, clean toilet facilities and a pleasant walk along the dam wall. It... More

A beautiful stopover on a trip down south. All amenities on site and lovely grassed areas as well. The have concerts here during the better weather and I believe they are good.

We spent a very nice morning at the dam and surrounds. Pretty gardens and a nice walk up to the top of the dam if you don't mind a few stairs.

A great spot for a picnic, BBQ, walk, playground, explore. It is a wonderful place for families, a bridge to cross, plenty of green for play.

Harvey Dam is a lovely place to go for a walk, especially if you have dogs. The amphitheatre area is well set out and very pleasant, it's a steep climb up the steps to the top of the dam, but the view is worth the effort. Walking round the dam itself is good and the dogs love a splash in... More

I found Harvey Dam and Amphitheatre to be very well catered for the tourist, with plenty of parking down the bottom plus a few spots up the top of the dam, and great walking trails around the dam as well. You can walk across the dam wall and around the circuit, I found the views at the top of the... More

Can't fault the previous comments. The whole picnic area is well laid out, beautifully maintained and a perfect spot for family picnics. There are walking tracks through native flora as well as across the dam wall. Not too far out of Harvey either.
