I walked on and was greeted by a middleaged lady who explained what was where. I took my time ambling through the artifacts. The contents of the drawers had a humouress twist to them. won't spoil the fun. The furniture and items within the buildings are really interesting. I found the comprehensive photograph collection on the walls really brought the... More

I have been there many times and some of my photos are from a while ago but still up to date at the display items are much older than I am. Located about 15 min south of Geraldton this is a nice quiet location to see how life was a hundred years ago. They often have events so keep a... More

Very well laid out, interactive and interesting way of displaying things to peak your interest. A few flights of stairs to navigate up and also down into the cellar.

At $5 a head you can't go wrong here. There are interesting exhibits in the house spanning nearly two hundred years of domestic history and lots of interesting things outside. There are also beautiful gardens to walk through. It's a minute of the Highway so if you are passing then stop!

Having visited the Greenough historic settlement on the other side of the Brand Highway this historic house completed our visit to the area. The house belonged to one of the early settlers who made good as a business man. If you love history, including social history this is a must see.

Greenough has a fascinating mid 19th C built heritage set in a beautiful location, and our museum portrays a success story not shown in the Central Greenough Historic Settlement. More

Don't forget to see the 800 year old eucalypt tree in the garden and have a hands on experience inside.

Thanks for your comment, our ancient gum tree is a must-see. Even if you haven't time to come into the museum, stop and give the tree a hug (and look for the geo-cache). More

You could spend hours and hours here sifting through all the wonderful displays and wandering through this wonderful old house which once would have been alive with 14 children.

We loved this place: interactive, informative and so well kept. You get a really good feel of the olden days here. The gardens, established a long time ago, were lovely, including the community one.More people should come here, and enjoy how life was, a long time ago, although how they lived there with 14 children is beyond me! Well worth... More

Great outing on the weekend. I spent some time in the cool garden under the pepper trees watching the python slowly creep through the tree. So sublime. The gallery provides an authentic experience of life in early Western Australia. I particularly liked the record of rainfall in the cellar. Worth a look in the times of climate change.

The great news is that the python has found a mate, and we are expecting pythonlets (what do you call baby pythons?). More

The Greenough Pioneer Museum and Gardens literally took my breath away! I had never realised what a gem this place is and to think it is only 20 minutes south of Geraldton on the Brand Highway.
