Hot coffee on stormy day

Wind and rain was heavy and stormy so we couldn't go for the walk. Done it before and it was great then. The little Cafe made some nice hot coffee and we're very friendly.

I love light houses and visit as many as possible and this one did not disappoint. Good views and interesting history.

Great tour guide (young guy) who was very informative about the lighthouse and its history. Breathtaking views from the top, even though cold and windy :) Apparently there are plans on the cards for major improvements for the end of 2017 which will be amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Okay this is the only light house I have ever been inside but it was amazing. Primarily I think this was because of the guide Domonquie who was pretty good. She was knowledgeable about the area and told great anecdotes. She talked right through the tour but in such an engaging an amazing way that you were sad the tour... More

Pretty dull activity. Walk up to the lighthouse. Look at the sea and come down again. Gold coin donation just to walk up to it. The staff were friendly. Not really worth the drive out unless already in the area.

Title says it all. nothing else there to do. small fenced in lighthouse. we wanted to do the trial walk but could not find one. we thought it would be a good look out for whale watching but it did not have a very good view. Unless we missed a better point?

Visit the water wheel! That (short) path brings you so much closer to the ocean!! Insanely cold in August; be prepared to be blown away, literally!!

The lighthouse is not really high; the reason being that it is already on top of a hill so it doesn't need to be. To enter the light house area, you either make a donation or take a tour that brings you to the top of the light house. Pretty strong wind at the top and a nice view of... More

Hi Jadamros, Thanks for taking the time to post. The tours of the lighthouse are fantastic and I highly recommend them to everyone. It is always great however to leave a bit of extra time to head out on the walk trails. They are beautiful all year round and particularly during spring with all the whales and wildflowers. All the... More

There is not much to see if you don't take the tour to the top of the lighthouse. Access to the lighthouse is through gold coin donation, and it is not exactly clear as to where the track to he lighthouse is. Just make sure that if you come here you make the most and go to the top otherwise... More

Have been wanting to visit the Lighthouse for quite some time. What a disappointment. Gold Coin Donation to walk up & look around. But there was nothing really to see, fenced in like a Prison & not at all as close to the Sea as I first thought. A nice viewing deck would be a great improvement.
