Diana and Geoff are very friendly and informative. There were thousands of red apples on the trees in April when i was there.

Took us 1.5hour to reach from Margaret River. Was given pails to carry our apples. The cost is $10 per adult and comes with 1kg worth of free apples that you can pick. Kids entry was free but they ride on adults free 1kg.so if you do not want to pay extra, control your kids so they don’t pick a whole bucket! Is a nice experience as we do not have apple trees in Singapore. The apples are organic as they do not use insecticide. Email them before going to make sure they are prepared.

We have a fantastic time at Spring Valley Orchard. Pre_booking is compulsory, so just write to Diana & she will follow up with pertinent information for you to reach the farm. The owner will bring you around the apple farms full of red ripe apples. A joy to walk around the natural plantation and soaked in the fresh crisp air during early winter. The tour took around 1.5 hour.

I emailed to enquire prior to my arrival in Western Australia and Diana responded promptly. She even gave me instruction on how to get there. Before we started the tour, Diana showed us how she cut her apple. Amazed that the skin was peeled, the core was removed and the apple was in slices, ready for us to eat. We got to pluck our own apples after Diana showed us the correct way of doing it. Each of us (adult) are entitled to have 1kg of apples, organic apples to be specific. It was an experience for city-dweller. Diana answered our queries along the way too. She also showed us how they separated the apples of different sizes. It was a pity that I do not get hold of a packet of dried apple slices as it was ready yet that day.

We had a wonderful time picking apples as well as buying other fruit at Spring Valley Orchard. Diana and her daughter Abby were lovely and even baked an apple cake for my son whose birthday fell on our visit. Such a thoughtful gesture! Highly recommended for anyone who has never picked apples before. Make sure you also get the apple crisps (if available). They were the best apple crisps we had ever had. Forget about those commercial made ones....Spring Valley Orchard has the real deal and it was full of apple flavour. Yum!
