This has been a favourite fishing destination for my family for the past 40 years. I have visited Steep Point numerous times but the last several trips we have called at Shelter Bay in Shark Bay. I remember coming here as a child and it was wild and rugged. Not much has changed but since the government has taken control... More

Did the 3 hour cruise on Aristocat 2 at Monkey Mia today and had a great day for all the family. The tour of the pearl farm was very interesting and we saw, dugongs, turtles, stingrays and Dolphins. Also take your bathers and jump on the net boom for a refreshing swim.

This is a stunning location with lots to do and see. Leave plenty of time to explore all the area has to offer, scenery, wildlife and things to do.

Love Shark bay . The weather is mild even though it may be windy. Landing fees at Shark bay airport are expensive. Mostly a friendly place but let down by a few very casual businesses. Great facilities on the foreshore. Monkey Mia definitely the best place for service, food and accommodation with a view.

First visit to Denham, the small seaside town was lovely. The ocean was crystal clear and blue and the locals were very friendly and helpful. The dirk hartog 1616 celebration was fabulous. The free entertainment provided was wonderful especially The Lost Quays, our group of friends really enjoyed their foot tapping sea shanties especially when everyone sang along. Going on board... Really lovely beach to stop and walk a long. We found a shack called thong shack which was covered in flip flops... or thongs whatever!

Shark Bay is a world heritage listed area in Western Australia. It is where the desert meets the sea. Some highlights of my trip there included Moneky Mia, Eagle Bluff, Whalebone Bay, Shell Beach and the Stromatolites. Denham is the only town in the region It is a fair way from Geraldton, taking us just under 5 hours to get... More

The sleepy town of Denham over looks Shark Bay, as do a couple of lookouts coming into Denham. It is a pretty coastline that can be appreciated if you love nature, although it's not as spectacular as the reds of the Kimberleys or the creams and blues of the Kalbarri coastline. It is known as a windy spot, but we... More
