On Thursday April 12, 2018 I was a part of a Seniors Trip that visited the YS Falls, in St. Elizabeth , Jamaica W. I.
The attractions included: the falls...very relaxing, warm pools, the river emerges from limestone caves and springs, and flows 30 kilometres dropping through seven falls. , Tour guides are strategically placed to assist visitors, chuka canopy tours...a great landscape, meals are provided at affordable prices, menus: Jerked chicken, fish etc
persons are taken to the site by Tractor driven bus .....staff was courteous and helpful . Thumbs up!

This place is on a plain. Wear light clothing it's hot. Animal cages are too small and they seem bored.

I did read these reviews before visiting this place but was still sad when I saw how the animals were kept there. There are some parrots that live at the trees and one zepra in the yard but most of the animals (like the other parrots, squirrel, monkeys and lions) are kept in small gages without any stimulus or things to play with. Also, there are a small snake, lizard and crocodile and you can take a picture of yourself with them… but you really should not… animals should not be kept for that.

This zoo is very tiny and there are limited animals however it seems a family operation and the owner seems to be trying his hardest. There is a little petting show at the beginning that allows interaction with some animals

When I went to the zoo there was no one else there but me, my husband, niece and daughter but the staff remained professional! They booked us in and did a presentation of animals one by one where you could touch and hold the animals while they did a talk on each animal! Afterwards another guide tour staff took us around the zoo giving us information on each animal we passed! We would feed and hold the animals!

I would recommend this tourist attraction to anyone as it was so nice and lovely one to one interaction from the staff! The staff were also great with the young children!

This is a very small zoo. The owner is your entertainer, and does a good job of letting you interact with some animals.
Yes, it is not like American zoos. The owner is the sole provider. He is doing his best to improve as finanaces allow. If you have the time, please visit this place for the animals, and the personality of the owner. You will get some awesome pictures to take home, and we have an appreciation for the effort they are putting out to improve.
The ONLY con is the music is WAY TO LOUD!!!

Could use a little TLC however the tour was great and they kept the kids (8,10,12) well entertained for a few hours! Awesome tour guides. Very good for families with small children. 1.5hr drive from MoBay. Would visit again.

Went on a trip with students to this zoo. There were many other school groups on location that day. Music was playing so loudly that the placed just seemed more confusing. To top that the music was not appropriate for a family orientated setting.
They seemed to not have enough tour guides so our school was joined with another which made the group way too large for one person to interact with. This particular guide (forgot her name) seemed to be frustrated and tired from the beginning to the end of the tour.
The location need major work as there does not seem to be any up keeping. The tour is extremely rocky. Maybe due to the aridness only a few animals are on site namely crocodiles, monkeys and lions.
If you are close to the area it may be worth the trip but definitely not if you have to travel a great distance.

As a Jamaica travel blogger what I do is drive around in Jamaica until I find something that strikes me to stop and experience. On my way to Santa Cruz one day I saw a sign on the road that said Jamaica Zoo....I had no idea it existed so of course I changed my plans for the day to go in and experience it.
What a wonder, personal, interactive place this is! Of course it's small compared to our zoos back home but the staff here REALLY loves what they do! My personal tour around the place was informative and FUN! I'd highly recommend visiting!
