A lovely shallow sloping beach of mainly broken shells & shell peices. Given the shallow nature of the beach the sea does go a long way out at low tide. The beach & sand, whilst lovely white, can be a little coarse due to all he broken shells.

this is a wonderful beach, about 30 minutes walk from the ferry terminal on Herm. (or come in your own boat and moor just offshore) Entirely made from shells, the big ones of yesteryear have gone, but it is fascinating to see tropical shells in miniature and in beautiful pastel colours. High tide gives deep water for bathing while low... More

Spent a few happy hours here watching the tide come in over golden sands and enjoying a picnic lunch. Well stocked kiosk and kayaks / paddle boards for hire. Very clean and plenty of rubbish disposal. Have to walk 5 mins to the toilets.

We visited Her again this week after a few years and found it as enjoyable as ever. The trip across gives wonderful views of Guernsey and the offshore islands. We walked round the south end and up to Shell Beach stopping for coffee at Belmont en route and the loo, five minutes before Shell Beach. Shell Beach still has a... More

Nice beach, well priced kiosk and a nice guy renting out paddle boards and kayaks. Nice place to chill out, enjoy the scenery and go for a paddle. Lovely gentle walk with some gorgeous views

Stopped of here on my walk round the island. Pristine beach and lovely little kiosk. Kayaks are available for rental and that looked a lot of fun.

You can forget the Caribbean as Shell Beach is simply stunning. Of course, the weather isn't as guaranteed as the Caribbean, but at least Herm doesn't have a hurricane season! On a beautiful summer's day, this beach is idyllic & for most of the time it's practically deserted. No overcrowding here - ever!

When the sun's out you can be forgiven for forgetting that you're only a few miles on the English coast, it really is that good. Might seem odd to leave the lovely Guernsey so soon after arriving, but we just cant resist. The ferry across feels like an adventure in itself (I love to stand at the back with the... More
