My family and I first came into contact with Viaggi d'Ambra in July when I contacted them about a Chianti tour (see previous review) - we loved it so much, we didn't only book once again, but twice! My husband and I had the pleasure of a tour with Azzurra in the Montepulciano and Montalico regions in August - it was amazing! Both wineries were in lovely positions and the hosts were delightful. We also had time to explore the beautiful town of Pienza - not to be missed! After two fabulous tours, we booked to return to Tuscany in October. This time Christian took us on an amazing tour of northern Chianti. We visited the beautiful town of Greve and two fabulous wineries. Without Christian, we would never have found them and their wonderful wines! This year has all been a bit mad, but do book early for tours next year as Azzurra and Christian are fantastic people and know the area like no other. If you don't book, I can see myself taking tours with them daily - it really is such a fantastic experience and such a varied area! Grazie mille both of you!!!

Thank you Azzurra for this wonderfull day! It was really a personal experience and more than we expected. The tour was planned with lovely details and gave us an authentic view of Chianti. You notice that Azzurra is passionate about what she is doing and her fascination with her home region is heartwarming! We will surely come back!

After a fantastic wine tour with Azzurra in Chianti Classico a month ago, we decided to explore Tuscany further and sample some more beautiful wines. Once again, Azzurra picked us up from our accommodation in her very comfortable people-carrier and whisked us off first of all to a lovely family-run winery in the Montepulciano region. We had a great tour of the vines and the winery itself before tasting a gorgeous selection of wines in a tasting room with spectacular views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. After this, we drove to Pienza and had time to explore the town, take in the views, and enjoy the local cheese (Pecorino) and cured meats. We then drove to the second wine region, Montalcino, and had a chance to walk through the town itself before heading to our final winery, which was in an amazing position, and there's no way we would have found it without Azzurra's encyclopedic knowledge of the area! Again, we had a very informative tour of the winery before tasting delicious wines with the most amazing views of the area. Throughout the tour, Azzurra gave us an insight into the areas and the wines. We also had opportunities for photo stops along the way. We're already planning another trip to Tuscany in October, and can't wait to see Azzurra again.

I booked a private Chianti Classico tour to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. We had vegan dietary requirements (which isn’t very easy in Italy!) but it was absolutely no problem at all for Azzurra to arrange / communication and planning prior to the trip was so simple. Our day with Azzurra touring around the Chianti Classico region was a dream. There was a rough plan but Azzurra was happy to adapt that to what we felt like seeing & doing, with top recommendations for the the best local coffee in Radda, local and regional history that tied all of the wine information together in a very memorable way & also knowing all the most beautiful stops for photo opportunities. We stopped at 2 boutique wineries between looks around small towns Radda & Greve in Chianti. The first winery was Savignola Paolina - we were shown the cellars and got to understand the rich history and feminist founder of the vineyard before tasting 4x wines and their olive oil paired with delicious crostini (all vegan still felt very authentic!) The second winery was something truly magical and really made the day something we will never forget. Visiting Alterio vineyards for more tasting and a freshly cooked lunch. Paolo and Samuela made us feel very relaxed and welcome, as an extra special birthday treat we also got to say Saluti! With their Rose (so so so delicious) and sing happy birthday with a cake as part of the homemade meal all whilst looking out on to the Tuscan hills. I really don’t know how to put in to words just how much we loved this day. It was not a ‘stuffy or snobish’ wine tour. It was very authentic, down to earth, accessible and most of all fun ! We really feel like we’re leaving Tuscany with a true sense of Toscana culture/life & know there we are coming back as soon as we can (to Azzurra & the vineyards!) If you are heading anywhere in Tuscany. Make booking a trip with Viaggi D’ambro a priority. You’ll not regret it

A wonderful day trip with Azzurra to two fabulous wineries in the Chianti Classico area. The day was simply perfect - Azzurra was a delightful guide and excellent driver through gorgeous scenery to two very special wineries. Fascinating tours of each one and a delicious lunch. Highly recommended.
