We were originally greeted by the father/owner of this store who was more than welcoming. He was wonderful and told us how his items could be shipped to the US with shipping charges included. We moved along to shop other stores as well. When we arrived at his other location, there was a wonderful young lady who helped us. We purchased 2 expensive items in their store. One was purchased at full price, and the other was purchased at a relatively small discount. We asked for the global blue tax form, and the son of the owner would not give it to me because I received a discount. This should not have been his concern. I paid $250e for a ceramic which qualifies it for the global blue, discount. We asked about shipping verses hand carrying. They told us they would wrap it in bubble wrap and there won’t be a problem with carrying it. The items were hand carried hone and both ceramic items broke in the EXACT same spot. The left leg of the goat at the base broke off. Obviously, there is a construction issue with these ceramics. We returned to the store to inform the girl who sold us the ceramics. She was very compassionate, but we realized, she had no final say in the matter. We learned the 2 sons basically run the store and they have absolutely No Customer Service! They were arguing with us in front of their store, which is never a good thing in front of other customers. They didn’t want to listen to anything I had to say, because I’m sure in their mind, I”m a woman, and what do I know? Instead they spoke with my husband and got extremely defensive. They didn’t want to listen, instead they were ready for a fight. In our country, the customer is always right. There could’ve been an easy solution to make us all happy. Instead, they chose to make an unfortunate incident, into a dramatic, hostile environment which left a very bad taste in our mouths. We would definitely not recommend purchasing ceramics from this store. I have bought many fragile items in Italy and never had a problem nor been treated like this by anyone else.!

The Capri ceramics store had truly lovely pieces of art. But so do many others on the island. Others with welcoming people there to greet you. At Eureka, the native English speaking gentleman was rude to us upon entering. Followed us around without speaking until we picked up something at which point he said: “you break it you buy it. “. As if we were children in a US glass shop. We did buy something but would have made a much bigger purchase had he not been such a jerk. We ended up buying a significant amount of ceramic art and had it shipped home at a store three blocks down in the center of Capri.

We spend a lot of time in this shop selling a ceramic piece, Ther was so much to choose from and the wonder/artists explained every piece to us, We bought some items and enjoyed our shopping experience here a lot. The owner even reduced the price of some of the items we bought.

We collect ceramics from all of the regions of Italy that we visit. The ceramics in this shop are among the most beautiful we have seen...our biggest problem was deciding what NOT to buy. The family members who run the operation are terrific. We met Gerardo and his Dad who shared stories about the traditional subjects like the donkeys and pine cones. The pieces we bought were shipped to us in Chicago and all arrived in perfect condition. They were very carefully wrapped and boxed so do not fear sending your purchases home. We look forward to our return visit.

Had a great time shopping here. Nice, nice stuff and super helpful people. Just a little storefront, but this is a family owned, local business that showcases lemons, olives, and tomatoes on beautiful ceramic pieces. Conversation was friendly and interesting. They super wrapped our purchases to ensure safe traveling.

Would go back in a heartbeat and plan on ordering from website too.

Recently stayed on Capri and visited both the Capri and Anacapri stores. Eureka by far has the most original and authentic ceramic works of art on the island. Brothers Gerardo and Antonio, the third generation, are most gracious and helpful. Their family's ceramics are beautiful and I highly recommend anyone visiting the island to stop by Eureka.
