We decided to take the Phoenician steps on our way back from Anacapri to Capri, instead of taking the packed buses. What a fantastic experience this was!! The views from the steps of Marina Grande and Capri are absolutely stunning. Note though, the climb down...More

We took the bus from Capri to Anacapri and it was fine but you had to wait and you were packed in like sardines. We were taking pictures at the top of the Phoenician Steps and decided to walk down them (mostly for bragging rights)....More

This stairway was my favorite part of Capri. Gets you from the harbor to Anacapri in about 30 min. No problem for me or my husband going up or down, but we are in our 30s and fit. I wouldn't recommend this for people with...More

Probably better to do the almost 1000 steps from Anacapri to Marina Grande than the other way round unless you are very fit. How did the locals manage 100 years ago?! I liked this walk very much (30-40 minutes) and it gave me a good...More

We started but never finished. We were not suitably attired for this climb but it is a must. Stunning views. Where a pair of shoes with a good sole..hiking boots are an overkill but definitely not sandals unless they are Merrell or Keen hikers. Bring...More

We got up to Annacapri with a taxi, 25 Euros. We thought we'd save the fare and walk down - whether it's 800 steps or 1000, I don't know. But it was fun, as long as your legs are up to it. The walk starts...More

Hi, Sorry, I do not know that there exists a bakery at the bottom of the steps. If there exists one it's very hidden (or most probably it does not exist any more). Best GP
