By April Anderson for Imagineye.com As a travel photographer, the perpetual longing is to find those special, not-so-well-traversed places that are sometimes as elusive as the fabled Magic Shop, even given technology and the almighty Google Earth. Such a place is Les Grottes de Ferrand...More

Not at all personal, we felt a bit like "just another bunch of tourists". Get them in, get them out. The wines were not to my taste but that doesn't mean many people won't love them. For me too much wood and not enough fruit...More

Large chateau but still good wine. Tried the 2010 and 2013 with Charlie who did a nice job on the process and went deep in the tasting. Lovely drive and next year they will finish the remodel which will make the place even more beautiful

What's not to like about a memorable drive into the Bordeaux countryside? We arrived at the winery and had a very nice tour by the winery expert. She imparted so much knowledge that our heads are still spinning. This is not our first wine tour...More

My wife and I had a wonderful experience visiting the chateau and learning about their wine making operations, followed by a tasting of two vintages (2008 and 2015) of their wines with charcuterie plates. Delicious St Emilion wines; we bought a bottle of each vintage-...More

We visited on a tour with Amawaterways. This is perhaps the best wine I enjoyed all week throughout the Bordeaux region. I enjoyed the tour as well. Definitely worth a visit.

In what a nice spot this castle is situated. We had a reservation for a wine tastery in the afternoon and we were really impressed by the beauty of the place. We had a lot of explanations and it was a very pleasant visit. Would...More

We visited Chateau de Ferrand after lunch in the old town of Saint-Emilion, and after visiting a smaller family winery in the morning. Clearly Chateau de Ferrand was a bigger operation. The tasting room was quite large. Our English-speaking guide (Charlie, I think) was very...More

Following a tour of the cellars we had a taste of 3 different st. Emilion wines, all were very good. We also tasted them with chocolate which was an interesting experience. A most pleasant tour

Of the four vineyards we visited on this day - this one was by far the best. I learned so much from this experience that I did not know and I had lived in Paris for a year. The staff is friendly and helpful. They...More

I booked the blending workshop ahead of time and didn’t realize you don’t actually get to keep it. Although my guide was very nice and knowledgeable, it was basically just a tour and tasting for $60 euro.
