Organising this tour is so easy. We spoke to Carlos over WhatsApp (number on website) and he organised our 3 day tour. We saw everything we wanted & more - too many to list: Jaguars, giant otters, caimans, anaconda, monkeys...and so many different birds including owl and hawk. Highly recommend!!

Carlos was a great guide who ensured our visit to the Panatal was great. We saw many different animals including giant otters, Jaguars, iguanas and, tons of birds. He was even able to find an anaconda moving through plants on the shore and show it to us on a boat! Carlos made sure the tour ran smoothly and that we fit as much as possible into our 4 day visit.

We have organized a Pantanal tour of 4 days and 4 nights with this agency. We spent 2 week talking by email and wazzup for organized the tour and Carlos was always very polite and available. Our driver was safe and kind, our guide was very experienced. He spoke perfectly also English, Spanish and German. He could recognize all kind of animals and plants. Our car and the boat were safe and confortable. We spent 2 days in Porto Joffre lodge and 2 in Rio Claro lodge, both of them were very comfortable, the food was good and the room was clean. We saw jaguars and a lot of other animals. We really enjoyed this agency... very recommended!

Like P&A below, we were on the 4 days, 3 nights Pantanal Tour with Carlos. We had a fabulous time. We were a party of 4, my wife and I and our two teenagers, 18 and 16. We arrived very late at Cuiabá Airport the night before the trip started and were met by Carlos and his driver and driven to a hotel 5 mins away from the airport that Carlos had arranged for us (included in our trip price) We were driven early morning to a local town, Pocone, about an hour away, in a modern jeep type vehicle (with a/c, very comfortable) and plenty of room for our luggage. We stopped in Pocone to stock up on cheap snacks and drinks, water, beer, etc at a local supermarket. We then transferred to another jeep which had been adapted into a 'safari-type' vehicle with 6 seats in the trailer part at the back. It was open to the elements so provided good viewing for wildlife on the way to the first lodge. Carlos sat with us and told us all about the local flora and fauna, pointing out lots of birds, caimans, capybaras, etc and stopping frequently so that we could take pictures. etc. Our first stop was the Pousada which was about 90 mins from Pocone. We stopped here for the night and did horse back riding (we spotted a glimpse of a giant anteater), and a night time safari where we saw a tapir and another giant anteater. The food here was good. The accommodation was basic and a bit open to the elements in places (a few bugs) but clean enough and fine for one night. The other facilities here were also very good (we spent some time in the lovely pool and there was a games room). Next morning, we got up at 6am to go for a guided sunrise walk. We then went for a canoe trip and did piranha fishing (!). After lunch, we got back into the safari jeep and set off for the LONG trip along the Transpantaneiro road to Porto Jofre. This took over 5 hours and it's essentially a dirt track road with lots of stops in the road to go over bridges. It was novel at first and there is a lot of birds and mammals to see on the way (at one point we saw a flock of blue macaws in front of us) but we were all very tired by teatime when we finally arrived, just after sunset. As we were open to the elements in the jeep, we all wore face masks due to the dust kicking up every time we were passed by other vehicles...not too pleasant(!) and the downside to being in the open. The facilities at Porto Jofre Jaguar Camp were excellent, a newly built accommodation building with rooms inside so minimal exposure to the mosquitoes and bugs. The manager of the camp gave us a short talk on the work they do there to help protect the wildlife. Again, food here was good. After tea, it was early to bed. We were up very early next day and had a full day of wildlife spotting on our riverboat trip. We were out for about 5 hours in the morning, back for lunch, then out again for another 4 hours in the afternoon. We were very lucky and got to see 4 different jaguar sightings, including one, so close to us, protecting his kill (a caiman) from swooping vultures, and another going for a swim and attempting a kill (another caiman) and failing then going for a sit down on a sandbank. This was the highlight of our trip - we were thrilled to see them, particularly being so close, but there are obviously no guarantees, although you have a better chance here than most places. We also saw a family of sea otters (very cute), a family of capybaras, monkeys, an anaconda, lots and lots of caiman and too many bird species to remember. An amazing experience. Carlos and his boatman did a great job finding and spotting things for us. They even found an iguana when we mentioned that it was the only thing we could think of that we hadn't seen. Later that night, we went on a second night time safari but less lucky this time with animal spotting. We stayed overnight, then headed back next morning after breakfast back to the first Pousada - that long dirt road, ugh - and then switched vehicles and were taken back to a local Churrascaria outside Pocone by Carlos' driver for lunch, provided free of charge, and then dropped off at the hotel we were staying at in Cuiaba that night. Overall a great experience, Carlos is very knowledgeable and friendly, he knew the name of every type of bird we passed by! He delivered all of the activities promised, and we were very lucky to see what we saw. We paid 50% up front via a bank wire transfer (a bit nerve-racking to be honest) and 50% in cash on arrival (in Brazilian currency - we thought we were paying in dollars so had to change to Reai at the airport exchange). Carlos' price was competitive compared to the other quotes we got. Thank you Carlos - a memorable trip!!!

We chose the 4 days, 3 nights Pantanal Tour with Carlos. We were picked up at Cuiabá Airport and driven to a lodge near the Traspantaneira Highway, had lunch and continued to Porto Jofre. In Porto Jofre we stayed at the Jaguar Camp Pousada located in the Jaguar Corridor, the place was amazing! The room was ample, private bath, impeccable white sheets and towels, soap and shampoo were provided. The room had A/C, electricity all day and was free of "mosquitos"! All rooms faced a corridor with big window screens. The food was delicious and plentiful ... with all pão de queijo you can eat! ... everyone there was helpful and friendly. Carlos kept us all busy and on schedule for the following two days. The jaguar spotting and wildlife search schedule consisted in navigating the Sao Lourenço river for about 4 to 5 hours each morning, back to the lodge for lunch, return to the river for an additional 4 to 5 hours in the afternoon, back to the lodge for dinner and a break followed with a night safari. Carlos showed us many jaguars, caimans, a yellow anaconda, capybaras, deers, black howler monkeys, brown capucine monkeys, an iguana, ibises, hyacinth macaws, storks, parakeets, toucans and many others ... too many to remember. It's amazing to see these beautiful animals in their own environment!!! In the afternoon of the third day we headed back to the lodge near the Traspantaneira Highway. Here Carlos showed us the local wildlife, did horseback riding, canoeing and hiking. Carlos and the driver were patient with all of us when we wanted to take pictures. He also alerted us when action was about to occur, like when a jaguar was preparing to catch his dinner! What an amazing shot! Carlos continuously looked after all of us for security and explained the reasons. Carlos makes sure you live the experience you are looking. Carlos has an amazing knowledge of the Pantanal flora and fauna and an amazing eye for spotting wildlife! He is gifted with positive energy and always in a good mood ready to help and share his knowledge. We truly enjoyed our time in the Pantanal, its wildlife, its people and the other travelers. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and highly recommend it! Another very important note: Carlos preferred form of payment is a bank wire transfer, 50% to reserve the time and 50% when you arrive. We transferred the initial 50% via XOOM to credit his bank a/c and paid 50% on arrival. All perfect. Carlos drove us back to Cuiabá Airport on time. Thank you Carlos for this awesome experience!!!
