We took two day trips one to Chapada dos Guimaraes and another one to Nobres Bom Jardim and a multiple day tour to Pantanal. We spoke to Carlos which helped us organize everything and managed our whole trip, and Jose was our guide, he is a very knowledgeable guide. We saw a few jaguars, so so many types of birds, caimans everywhere, tapirs, different types of owls, deer, much more than we had hoped for. I totally recommend this company, they are really kind and they will help with everything.

I went on a 4d/3n tour with Carlos and his driver, Marion. He was able to customize my trip in order to maximize my opportunities to see the wildlife I was interested in. To start, Carlos brought some fresh steaks and fish to cook on our trip (even though we already had food arranged in the ranches we had booked). The open safari car is the way to go. You get a full view of the highway, necessary for spotting wildlife.
I had asked for the chance to see a tapir. On a night safari, we saw five! Several other birds/animals I had hoped to see were possible with the keen eyes of Carlos, and his amazing driver Marion. I was in the Pantanal for 22 days, and Marion was by far the best at spotting wildlife (even while he was driving!). The only downside of the trip was the weather, which was cloudy for two of the four days (don't believe them when they say it is uncommon for June). August/September is your best bet if you want clear skies.

Pantaneiros Tours offers flexible tours at economical prices. I recommend laying out a plan for Carlos and see what he can do. One of the highlights of my five weeks in the area.

I did the 4days - 3 nights Jaguar Tour with Pantaneiros Tours and it was one of the highlights of my Brazil trip. My guide Carlos showed me all kinds of birds and other animals of the Pantanal and we got to see 3 Jaguars in just one day plus one at night next to the Transpantaneira. The trip is well organized, the Pousadas we stayed were well equipped and the typical Brazilian food was delicious. At the Pousada Rio Clarinho you can do a boat trip, horseback riding and bird watching. I spotted a Tapir and we saw many monkeys when watching the sunrise from the treetop house.
It really is a great experience and Carlos is a very competent guide who knows everything about plants and animals of the Pantanal.

We chose the 4 days, 3 nights Pantanal Tour with Carlos. We were picked up at Cuiabá Airport and driven to a lodge near the Traspantaneira Highway, had lunch and continued to Porto Jofre. In Porto Jofre we stayed at the Jaguar Camp Pousada located in the Jaguar Corridor, the place was amazing! The room was ample, private bath, impeccable white sheets and towels, soap and shampoo were provided. The room had A/C, electricity all day and was free of "mosquitos"! All rooms faced a corridor with big window screens. The food was delicious and plentiful ... with all pão de queijo you can eat! ... everyone there was helpful and friendly.
Carlos kept us all busy and on schedule for the following two days. The jaguar spotting and wildlife search schedule consisted in navigating the Sao Lourenço river for about 4 to 5 hours each morning, back to the lodge for lunch, return to the river for an additional 4 to 5 hours in the afternoon, back to the lodge for dinner and a break followed with a night safari.
Carlos showed us many jaguars, caimans, a yellow anaconda, capybaras, deers, black howler monkeys, brown capucine monkeys, an iguana, ibises, hyacinth macaws, storks, parakeets, toucans and many others ... too many to remember. It's amazing to see these beautiful animals in their own environment!!!
In the afternoon of the third day we headed back to the lodge near the Traspantaneira Highway. Here Carlos showed us the local wildlife, did horseback riding, canoeing and hiking.
Carlos and the driver were patient with all of us when we wanted to take pictures. He also alerted us when action was about to occur, like when a jaguar was preparing to catch his dinner! What an amazing shot!
Carlos continuously looked after all of us for security and explained the reasons.
Carlos makes sure you live the experience you are looking. Carlos has an amazing knowledge of the Pantanal flora and fauna and an amazing eye for spotting wildlife! He is gifted with positive energy and always in a good mood ready to help and share his knowledge.
We truly enjoyed our time in the Pantanal, its wildlife, its people and the other travelers. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and highly recommend it!
Another very important note: Carlos preferred form of payment is a bank wire transfer, 50% to reserve the time and 50% when you arrive. We transferred the initial 50% via XOOM to credit his bank a/c and paid 50% on arrival. All perfect.
Carlos drove us back to Cuiabá Airport on time.
Thank you Carlos for this awesome experience!!!

We were a group of 4 friends and had an amazing experience in the Pantanal, thanks to Carlos! He met us at the airport and soon we were on our way to Pousada Piuval for 2 nights. There Carlos took us on night safari's, a sunrise safari, walking tours and to the observation tour. It was a great 2 days and we definitely could have spent more time there! Carlos showed us cabybara, great rhea, anteater, caiman, brown capucine monkeys, iguana, snake, hyacinth macaw, crab eating fox, jabiru stork and too many birds to even count! We were very happy with the accommodations and food. The next 2 nights we stayed at Hotel Pantanal Norte and once again had an amazing experience. We spent a half day and then a full day out on the boat spotting 6 different jaguars! We saw 3 separate groups of black howler monkeys. So many birds and caiman. And the playful giant river otters. It was a once in a lifetime trip. We can't thank Carlos enough, he is a great guide and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend Carlos and we will definitely use him again on our next trip to the Pantanal!

We spent 3 days with Carlos and his driver Douglas at the begining of April. It was the end of the rainy season and we were lucky with the weather . Not wet and not too hot.
Carlos met us at the Airport on our arrival in Cuiaba and took us to our hotel for the night which he arranged . The hotel is near to the airport and is large and clean . Breakfast was very good. As we had one night here before our tour we visited the local shopping mall where we found beer and then we visited a local resturant for dinner . Everything was nearby.
In the morning we were collected and we had a long drive to the Pousada. However this was the adventure and we spotted many birds and wildlife along Transpantaheira .
On arrival we had lunch and a swim in the pool to cool off before we went horseriding through the pantanal. The horses were very well behaved and it was a great experience. in the evening we were taken for a night safari in the fiat van.
The accomodtion is simple but there is air conditioning and a shower room. We slept very well.
After breakfast we walked to the river past the Rhea and cattle and footprints of passing animals .Here we we had a canoe to take us up the river where we saw many colourful birds and relaxed. Later, we drove to another Pousada where we fished for Piranha and watched the sunset from a water tower which gave a great view. Apparently Jaguar have been seen here. Our last morning was spent walking through the woodland in search of wildlife before the drive back to Cuiaba .
The trip was well organised and the accommodation suitable for our needs. The pool was clean . There is a games room for pool and cards which we used and there is beer and cold drinks in the fridge which you can buy. The food was very good too and always a choice for a non meat eater. Carlos looked after us well and I would reccommend him for a tour in the Pantanal. Please take plenty of long sleeved clothing and mosquito repellant if you travel in April . Im not sure how bad it is at the rest of the year but while we were there we needed to cover up while exploring ,despite the heat. Bring a good camera with a zoom to capture all the different birds you will see.
Our travel party was of 3 adults and one 15 year old. I cant say the youngest member was enthralled with the birds or the mosquitos but she loved the horseriding and the pool. The adults all thought it was amazing and would love to go back one day in the dry season.
My only criticism would be that we often had to ask what the plan was for the day. Carlos is fairly quiet at times. This may be that his english is not so good and unfortunately our Portuguese is very bad. It would have been nice to chat more about what wildlife we could expect to see or some tales of what he has seen.

Carlos has a great eye for spotting all the birds and animals, some you definitely wouldn't be able to see yourself even if they are right infront of you but he can. there are 650 types of birds and he knows them all and even the sound each of them make which is impressive. highlight other than seeing jaguars and giant otter was parana fishing. without Carlos and his patience teaching me I wouldn't have been able to catch anything. if you like nature you'll like this tour.

Carlos was such a fantastic guide. He fit in all our activities at the best times to make each one more enjoyable. The Pantanal tour was more then we could of hoped for. We saw 6 jaguars! (thanks to Carlos' keen eye) and literally everything else that he said we would see (too many different animals to write out). The birds were such a highlight and Carlos knows the names of basically all of them. The places we stayed had all the basics and the food was great (especially if you catch and eat your own piranha!) We definitely recommend if you want an adventurous Pantanal tour for a good price.

My partner and I have recently returned from spending 4 days, 3 nights with Carlos in the Pantanal. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend.

The organisation pre-trip was quite relaxed but once we arrived it was smooth. Carlos asks for a deposit of 50% in advance which we were nervous about, but it was fine. He asks for the remainder on arrival. I only say this because we don’t like carrying large amounts of cash around, but it’s difficult to find cash outside of the airport so, plan this ahead.

The accommodation was simple but sufficient, and we particularly liked the Pousada in Poconé. The food was always plentiful and delicious. The best (and only) piranha soup I’ve ever tasted!

Carlos is lovely and makes an effort to inform you of your surroundings. We particularly liked that he stopped his dinner to take us out back and show us the wild foxes and macaw. We were on the water for a long time and eventually got a fleeting glimpse of a Jaguar, which was beautiful. We saw a jaguar, three types of monkey, water buffalo, caiman, capybara, anaconda, beautiful birds, giant otter, tortoise, deer and more.

I went to the pantanal this month and I was looking around for Tours. I didn't realise how expensive they were. This tour group was the cheapest by far. I went on a tour with Carlos for 4 days and 3 nights. Carlos was really helpfully from the start, he was really responsive over the text messages. He guaranteed me that I would see lots of animals and he wasn't wrong. For the whole time of the trip he looked after me. He picked me up from the rodoviaria and the next day we begun our trip. Initially you start on the transpanteneira trail and you see lots of animals, it's really beautiful. This road is the start of the northern pantanal. After this we went to a pousada which was a good level of comfort. It isn't 5stars by English standards but that wasn't important for me, it's was comfortable and had everything you needed and the food was good. I am a vegetarian but in Brazil this is difficult so I do often eat fish. When Carlos found out about this and saw I didn't eat the red meat at lunch he made sure there was fresh fish that night. Also Carlos says there is no lunch each day and only fruit. That is untrue, I had lunch every day and very good food. Whilst at the poussada we saw many animals, blue a friendly baby macaus who flys between poussadas wanting cake and is quite cheeky. Also foxes, armadillos, many birds, deer, monkeys and some other animals I can't remember the names. Then the next day we drove to Porto Jofre. There wasn't enough room in the car for Carlos so he road at the back and it was a really dusty road ( for 2-3 hours) we tried to get him in the car and said we could squeeze together but he didn't have any of it.
Porto jofre was amazing, really beautiful and the food and accomodation was really good. When we arrived we didn't do much (but we were all exhausted from being up at 5am that day to see the sunrise) but the next day we headed out at 7 am on the boat to begin the trip to see the the jaguars and others and other such animals. Carlos knows the places to see the otters and where their nests were so we got really close and were able to see them catching fish and also eating and we were also able to see some babies playing. The good thing about this area is that there are 180 jaguars living here. Also that all the boats have radios so when one boat sees a jaguar they let each other know. In one day we were able to see two jaguars and I don't think that Carlos would have given up until we did see one. We spent 4.5 hours in the morning looking to jaguars and then 4 in the afternoon and he made sure that we stayed long enough to be able to get good pictures. Pretty much Carlos will do anything to make you happy and for you to get out of the experience what you need. He really is a lovely typical Brazilian gentleman. I would really suggest you book with him. I really enjoyed my time in the pantanal and the people I was travelling with were lovely as well and I made some new friends as well.
