The best view of Morro de São Paulo

Gives you a nice view. If you're brave enough, jump from the top. The trip on the "tirolesa" is short but the experience is for life.

We came across the lighthouse while exploring the higher areas of the island, in hope of finding a good view. The lighthouse itself is nothing special. There is a lot of history behind the building and its surrounding land but you can't visit the building at any time. However, 2 minutes around the corner there is an amazing view point... More

The lighthouse itself is nothing speacial. However it is a good spot for viewing the sunset. Be prepared however as there are many people there to watch the sunset and there is limited space.

It's closed for turists as it belongs to the navy. It doesn't work either. It would be great if we could climb to the top and have a view of the island. It's not even lit during the night. Take a picture of it from far and move on...

A lovely island with no traffic allowed, full of restaurants, bars and many beautiful beaches. The posadas(hostels) are nice and clean. Papagallo Posada was very good, basic but veyr clean with delicious breakfast included in the price. Cocktails by the beach, samba, beach volleyball and football as well as great boat excursions.

Lovely view. Very peaceful. When you go all the way up to go to the Farol but then you take your the left instead, the view is also stunning.

Nice short steep hike up to the lighthouse passing the graveyard on the way. Usually people go straight to watch those brave enough to do the zip Line down to the sea in front of the first beach. You can do that of course but don't miss out on the look off, which along a trail to the left of... More

If you can tear yourself away from the beach and you decide to walk up the hill, the Farol do Morro is something to consider visiting. You could combine the visit with sundowners at Toca...

and you cannot visit it. It has a fence around it and a sign saying that it is prohibited to enter. The vegetation prevents you to take a picture of the whole thing. You will pass by it when going to the Tiroleza. (follow the only street in town to the harbor and instead of going down the hill, follow... More
