I have been taking private tennis lessons for about 9 months and have had lessons with several tennis instructors in the Caribbean and in the United States. Without a doubt, Harry and Mike of Omnibus Tennis offer some of the best tennis instruction out there. They are both formally trained in teaching others the game of tennis and both really enjoy teaching. I had daily private lessons for 4 days and all aspects of my game showed an improvement. Not to mention but these were also great workouts. Harry also runs tennis clinics for kids and teenagers, which are instructional but also fun. I would recommend Omnibus Tennis to anyone who is interested in improving their game or to parents interested in introducing tennis to youngsters.

Highly recommend if you are a tennis junky and need your fix while on vacation. My wife and I took a joint 1-hour lesson with Harry on vacation. I am a ~3.5 and she is ~3.0 for reference. Harry kept us both engaged and it was a perfect mix of strategy, technique and exercise. We ended up scheduling a second lesson a few days later. No need to go through your hotel. Just tell him where you are staying and he'll book the court... most likely Playa Linda or Hyatt. Right next to each other and centrally located if you are on Palm Beach.
With regard to previous comments on wind, no doubt it can be a challenge but you get used to it pretty quick and the courts are more protected than the beach. I'd say Hyatt was slightly better but might have just been the day. Mornings are much cooler in Aruba. The 10am lesson was very hot but, hey, that's what you are in Aruba for right?

We went to meet Harry van Reek at the Playa Linda tennis court without much information, but thought we'd try. He was able to create appropriate drills and instruction for very different levels of play for our group. We followed with several private lessons, and then asked Harry to help with a clinic for 5 people ranging from competitive junior player, to much older (and less skilled). Harry created a great atmosphere on the court that was fun for all. He invited my daughter to Saturday clinics with local tennis students which she thoroughly enjoyed- super nice and a great surprise on Aruba! Rackets and balls are provided, and there is a water fountain at the courts.

i am a tennis player living in Miami played tennis for over 10 years,
I went last week to Aruba and my coach told me i had to keep training so he recommended me to go to this tennis academy, when i arrived i met jean paul he was the trainer we talked a bit then began with the lessons.The way he gives lessons are like if you was learning with a pro! He is a good tennis player, his skills are very high. When im on Aruba i will surely go back to his academy. I thank him for all of his advices that he told me.. cant wait to go again..

There is absolutely no better place on the Island of Aruba (or in the Caribbean) to learn the fine technique of forehand and backhand. Hit 20 balls with trainer Harry van Reek and he will tell you how many years you are playing the game of tennis, how often you play a week, he will see what your weak points are and how you can work on them and make them better.....This all in Harry's typical relaxed Island of Aruba way, don't worry be happy !! Just to hit a couple of balls or to have the most intense training, all is possible. Young,old, beginner or advanced every level can join the training with Harry and of course after a good workout Harry has a ice cold coke or balashi .....Harry is the man ! We highly recommend him

Played tennis with Harry numerous times over our vacation. I found Harry to be a great instructor and strong player. The newly renovated courts at Playa Linda were great, wind was not a big issue where the courts are situated. Harry provided great instruction and I really enjoyed playing with him. My wife and daughter also played one day with him and both found him to be really great. If you like to play tennis and looking for good instructor or just great pro to hit with I would highly recommend.

Harry is an excellent coach and a better player. Did not know what to expect after I found his website but his lesson was good and as a former Davis Cup player he definitely has the skill for a great lesson. Lesson and level was customized to match my 4.5 level and his instruction was very clear. Lesson included water/ Gatorade which made for a nice touch and completed the experience. Would definitly recommend him for anyone coming down to Aruba and would like a good lesson.
For those who are worried about wind, the courts at Playa Linda are well protected and thus the wind didn't have much of an impact on the ball.

My experience with Jean-Paul was super! His patience, teaching skills and enthusiasm are perfect. He picked me up and dropped me of from/at my hotel, free of charge. It took him only a few minutes to determain my level and then the training started. After an hour i had the feeling i really improved. It was super! During my holiday i went back to Jean Paul for three more lessons, each of them were perfect. This is à really must do activity for any tennis lover. Tnx so much!
