Drive the Glen

Driving the Glen was worth every bit of the $25 entry fee. Will give me a whole new perspective next year when I watch the NASCAR race. Even got to drive the boot.

THIS is one of the best tracks in the world. Located in the middle of a high valley overlooking the Watkins Glen area. A great facility in so many ways, one must simple GO for a day to see how amazingly fun and interesting the track is. LOTS of racing history here!

Another great trip to the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. It was an absolutely perfect race day. Easy in and out of the track and plenty of parking. Only issue was a snafu with the tv screen in front of us for a short time.one of our favoriting tracks.

About 500,000 people a year visit the track, the same number approximately the visit the Watkins Glen Park. Unless you're a car nut, this is a great place to avoid on the big race dates. However even smaller events can attract a gigantic crowd. For sure, check the race schedules before planning your trip; luckily, the track is very good... More

A friend of ours had the Glen on his bucket list so 9 of us went down last weekend to the Cheezit 355. I have been several times before but 5 of the 9 of us were virgins to racing. everyone had a great time and got to see a great race as usual.

You can't go wrong attending the Nascar weekend at Watkins Glen. From the street festival to the big race, it's just nonstop excitement, thrills, and awesome fun. Everything is geared to racing in the Glen, and everyone there is focussed on watching the best racers in the world battle it out on Nascar's premier track. This has been an annual... More

Beautiful, beautiful place. Not a more scenic track around. HUGE crowds, everyone having a great time. Parking and security personnel could use some training though. Most were rude and not very understanding, even threatening in some situations. Love the track and would return in a heartbeat........but teach the personnel to be friendly.

A track we always wanted to visit and finally had the chance to. The track is nice but hard to watch a race there.....but glad we could check it off our list as one of the tracks to visit!

I attended numerous racing events at the "Glen" during the sixties and seventies as a spectator and worker. Races were mostly sports cars and Formula 1. There has been almost a fifty year lapse since my last visit. Obviously there have been numerous changes over the years, all for the better racing enjoyment. This weekend was for the NASCAR event... This is our second trip, we'll now being going every year. It's definitely an experience worth doing and we have really great seats. You can bring in your own soft cooler wit beer / drinks and snacks (no glass) which makes it very cost effective. The prices in the track are completely ridiculous. Plus the state park is right near... More
