We were left a bit disappointed with les bains. It felt like we were just going to the regular swimming pool at a leisure centre. There are 3 outdoor pools, 1 larger and 2 smaller ones, all have a 'bubbly' bit you can sit in and then 2 indoor jacuzzi type pools...And that's it really. My 10 year old was a bit bored as there wasn't anything other than swimming she could do. I can imagine that in the winter when you've spent all day in the snow, to sit in a thermal pool would be quite relaxing and more-ish! But at 39€ for family of 4, (13€ per adult) I just didn't feel it was value for money- after all it's not like they have heat the pools!! The kids had more fun looking for rocks in the nearby river.

On a recent European road trip we staved on a campsite close to the spas.
As we were only in the area for one night we spent our €13 and had a lovely couple of hours inside and outside testing all the pools, steamrooms, cold showers etc :)
The only downside was the shower, toilet areas. These are communal and pretty small, as we left it was fairly busy so there were a lot of people trying to get in and out at the same time.

Very expensive, but you get a lot.
Outside there are 3 pools, one large and two smaller, each with varying degrees of warm and number of underwater massage vents and shower massage vents. Inside is a large shallow pool (also with massage vents) and a hottub, both much warmer than outside. The is also a sauna, hamam and 'relaxation space' inside. They have a large area with lots of changing cabins and lockers like in swimming pools (key on of braclet).
We went in the middle of the winter and it was great. Sitting in the outside pool as hikers in winter jackets, hats and gloves walked by on the nearby path just added to the ambiance, and made one even more relaxed and warm..After a couple of hours and going from pool, to pool, to sauna, to pool...., I could have stayed much longer but we still had a long drive to get home and so had to leave.
I recommend it, just bring your own towel and be prepared for the price.

I have been going to the hot baths at Llo for years, but I think this year will be my last. A victim of its own succes, it is now constantly too busy to be a pleasure, and the prices are around double what you pay in the other hot baths in the area...

It is with €13,5 per person very expensive for what you get.
Indoors at the dressing rooms there were main flies, not nice and it gave an unclean feeling. Swimpools were okay, but maintance can be much better. It didn't give me a spa feeling. There are no place were you can sit and relax outside with a book for example, so after an 1.5 hours we went back to the hotel

Have been to this hot spring in the past many times. I lived in Japan for many years and always jump to the chance of going to a hot spring. Although incomparable price wise (Japan is far cheaper) and cleanliness ( yep, Japan is on top of this) this hot spring is the real deal regarding the actual waters. Location is nice too BUT.. the facilities are not very good. Two toilets were closed. This included the one in reception so, if like me you had just been inside the hot springs, come out and changed your shoes.. You had to go back inside to use the one only available on site toilet.. Not good... The changing area could do with refurbishment. New lockers.. Flooring, changing rooms, showers etc..

wonderful way to while away a few hours in the open air - main pool with ring side water jets big enough for a "little swim", other jacuzzi's just perfect. interior ham man and sauna too.

Lovely place. Lots of warm pools, jacuzzis, steam. Kids 12 and over allowed in sauna and steam room. Our kids were content with access to all the bubbly jacuzzi pools. Very good value. Easy to spend a few hours there and the colder the air the better. No plunge pool but some interesting cold shower features. Recommended afternoon or evening out instead of or after snow sports.

I went to Banys de Lló with my family about one hour before closing. The price is quite expensive for what you get (13 €) and you pay the same no matter the time of the day.

The dressing rooms are mixed gender and quite chaotic with individual dressing cabinets. The pools are nice but the place was really overcrowded to even relax. Kids diving and splashing all around... It was more like a summer pool than a spa. At 7 o'clock some men started shouting and urging everyone to leave the pools. I found it quite unpleasant. I would recommend some type of audio warning. Then obviously the dressing room was even more chaotic, people standing everywhere and no place to change our baby. There is only one changing station which was, of course, already taken.

All in all, I don't recommend this place for relaxing. Maybe if you go there at low season and in the morning you can enjoy it better than I did.
