Lovely island. Beautiful beach. Great tortioise park. But so much plastic and rubbish on the sand and in the water which really ruined the trip.

You require a dhow or small motorboat, leaving form Stonetown's small harbour to reach the island. Actually, there is nothing really to see on the island except the tortoises and some stunning views of the ocean. The history is interesting and the tortoises are well...More

The views from this place! I found the visit very interesting. Was a bit freaked out by the free-roaming tortoises and their size (and age!) but other than that..all good. Toilets were a bit iffy

Its best to visit it in the morning as you would have enough time to explore the island and go for a nice swim too.
