This attraction is currently closed to the public and can only be viewed from the outside so there is nothing much to say about this attraction

It was closed because it is in disrepair. I was informed that there was no money of rate up-keep and repair. They are trying to raise funds. You cannot enter as it is falling down and dangerous inside. A beautiful building from the outside and...More

It's very beautiful building but it is closed for visitors. You can observed it only from outside. It is called the house of wonders because it is the first electricity building in Zanzibar and the first one with elevator.

Sadly, the house of wonders was closed due to renovation and my guide didn't know when it would be re-opened. It is supposed to be the national museum and from what I read, very interesting but I never got a chance to see it from...More

Although we were told it is closed - unusually we were able to go inside and it was apparent that this place has not been looked after. There were some interesting exhibits and it was nice to walk around a creaky building that clearly has...More

It's the most emblematic building of Stone town. Its closed unfortunately, and can only be visited on the outside. It stands in front of the foradhani gardens.

Had a fabulous guide that told us all about the history. Dont try it alone, get someone with intimate knowledge of Stone Town to fully appreciate the experience.

One of the famous buildings in Stone town. Unfortunately half od the roof have been colapsed and there is not ongoing work of repairing. You can admire it from outside though.
