We had the best day on our Stone Town walking tour. I only booked this tour less than 48hrs before the day with the wonderfully efficient operator Noreen. We were picked up promptly on the morning of the tour by our lovely driver Ahmed and charming tour guide Salma. We were so pleased to have a female tour guide as this is rarely seen in Tanzania and parts of Africa. Salma’s English was brilliant and we were stunned to learn that she had only been learning for a month! You would have never known. Her knowledge of Stone Town was fantastic and we learnt so much in such a short space of time. We chose this tour company because of the brilliant reviews here on trip advisor and it certainly did not disappoint. Asante Sana Amo Zanzibar Tours!

We did a cycling tour to a spice farm - amazing! Osman was a great guide and the bike ride was very fun (though challenging! You must be used to cycling through traffic) and wear lots of sunscreen - it gets very hot. But be prepared to tip lots of people on the spice tour (guide, coconut climber, chef etc). Food was incredible!

We stayed in Stone Town for a week at the excellent Kisiwa House. We found Amo Zanzibar online and contacted Noreen who swiftly and clearly presented us with possible overnight and day trips during our eight night stay. From the dinner and dancing on our first evening at Emerson on Hurumzi, to our stay on Chumbe Island and finally our remarkable visit to the island of Tumbatu, it was all wonderfully organised. We had some fantastic experiences and met some amazing people. All thanks to Noreen and her team. I highly recommend Amo Zanzibar. We will be going back and we will be using them for our next trip on Safari.

I had a fun filled tour of a spice farm with Amour during my trip to Zanzibar. It was fascinating seeing where all the spices are cultivated. My favourites were the clove and cinnamon spices. I also enjoyed the tasty pilau ( spiced rice) cooked with fresh spices and served in the charming tropical setting on the farm the end of the tour. I would also recommend you ask to see the Ylang Ylang flower with its subtle perfume, so emblematic of Zanzibar. I was even able to buy some Ylang Ylang oil in Stonetown with Amour’s assistance to take home as gifts for my family and friends. Zanzibar, where Africa meets Arabia. Such a magical island.

We took a Prison island+snorkeling tour. Very proffesional, attentive and caring. Big thanks to Yusuph and Salma who were extra caring during snorkeling as I am not a good swimmer and of course to Noreen who provide us with all information and even gave us advice regarding time in Stone town. Definately recommended!
