I had a great package which included facial, massage , body scrub and manicure. I had 3 people working on me. One person did two treatments. I tipped this person for two treatments. Manicurist Fatima seemed to be upset. So treatment did not end as I would like.

Booked this through my hotel. It was Ramadan. I arrived for a 1 hour massage. Said they could not do it. So I got ready to go. They said they could do it. Got about a 45 minute massage. For 60 min price. Masseus was deaf. Bad bad

I had a terrible experience here. I booked a neck, shoulders, scalp, foot massage and got a whole body massage. The masseuse was deaf so it was hard to communicate with him. He massaged me so hard that I was bruised the next day. I motioned to him to be softer 3 times and he would lighten up and then... More

I visited at the beginning of May, just after a month of rain and few tourists. I checked out the reviews and website before booking here. I have been to Cinnamon Spa, though that was years ago (and liked it very much), and I thought I'd try something new. Ally was my masseuse and while he kneaded my muscles like... More

Good that they make their own natural products with fruits and spices from the Island. They make nice presents for friends at home. Verrrrrrry nice pedicure. Went back and had a good massage. Interesting that the owner also employs blind and deaf local people, good initative!

My wife is a massage aficionado, having had massages throughout the world: Russia, India, Mexico, USA. She reports that it has been many, many years since she had such a good massage since Mrembo in Stone Town -- only a massage she had in Russia compared. She was assigned "Ali", a deaf man, and he was so good that my... More

We went to Mrembo Spa after seeing positive recommendations on Trip Advisor and IT WAS AMAZING! I'm a regular spa-goer so I had to check this out. Super authentic and excellent customer service from the moment you walk in. There's a double massage room for couples but one masseuse is a male so if you want more privacy, all you... More

I went to Mrembo Spa with my wife and daughters after a tyring but exciting journey in fascinating Stone Town. We took a workshop and learned to make coconut oil, a local scrub and local incense. After that, we all got a excellent swhajili treatment, all in an clean, exotic and wonderful setting, all the staff was really kind with... More

Had a great massage here after a hectic day wandering hot, dusty Stone Town. Mrembo is an oasis amongst the chaos, set in a lovely old building and decorated very traditionally. I had the full body massage which was strong but very good. We didn't have cash as it was our last day in Tanzania so one of the staff... More
