    Just wow!
We did a day trip through Flash Tours. We were staying in Zanzibar. So early start and then flew over at 6.15. By 7am we were on our way round the safari. Big thank you to Abel and shabani. Our guide and driver. Both helping to make the day a success. We saw so many animals and birds. Unbelievable - Abel said we were very lucky. We spotted lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, zebras, warthogs, hyenas, fish eagle, kingfisher, vulture, crocodiles and many, many more. Would definitely recommend the day trip to Selous and Flash Tours.

Nothing more to ask for in a vacation!
We went on a two day Safari trip to Selous with Halisi African Adventures and had a great experience that really exceeded our expectations! We saw all kinds of animals; giraffes, zebras, elephants, wild beasts, buffalos, hippos, wart hogs, lions (11 in total!), impalas, monkeys etc. The lodge we stayed at was comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and the food good. Last but not least we had the nicest guide Frank who taught us a lot about the animals and nature in Tanzania and also put up with our load singing in the car. We would definitely recommend Halisi African Adventures for a great experience.

Amazing and incredible company and an experience to treasure.
A wonderful family safari with Tanzania Horizon Safaris, Everything was perfectly organised by this local company which was taking the time to explain the environment and traditions. we visited Mikumi NP & Selous Game Reserve. Our accommodations were amazing and the food we had was all delicious served buffet style. We loved it. We really recommend this company. Our Guide   was a very knowledgeable, friendly and caretaking guide. He knows so much about the animals and the vegetation of the country. He was able to surprise us with the most interesting and exciting experiences. He is a remarkable person and we thank him for his excellent service. Also the company worked very professionally. We will treasure our memories of this 5 star experience for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Tanzania Horizon Safaris.

This was our 1st safari in Tanzania, but we had been on safari in other places, and primarily chose Selous because of the suposed lack of people and we had not seen wild dogs before. On both counts we were rewarded, the game viewing here is not as easy as on the open plains but is the more rewarding for it. The landscape is varied with areas of woodland, shrub, lakes, open areas and the Rufiji river allowing for a great variety in wildlfe. We managed to see lots of impala, waterbuck, kudu, gnu, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, hippoes, elephants, monkeys and crocs, along with wild dogs, lion, leopard, hyena and 99 species of birds all in our 4 night stay. When we went the bush was at it's greenest so we did not see everything every drive, but there was always something to see and with the help of our driver/guide saw lots of the smaller things as well. We were warned about Tsetse flies before our trip but although they were about they were not a bother.

Great park, stunning scenery, with a landscape more diverse and forested than the Northern parks. Animals come first here, humans second. They have a large area to roam, which means more difficult sightings, but also more private sightings and a great safari experience (instead of an outside zoo experience). If you have one park to visit in Tanzania, go here.

I highly recommend Tanzania Horizon Safaris, I have been on safaris with other companies, which have also been wonderful experiences, but I rate Tanzania Horizon Safaris as the best of the companies I have traveled with. Thank you Elizabeth  for being so responsive. You made our experience worry-free.Our 8 Days Ruaha National Park Selous Game Reserve was once in a life time experience! spectacular!

Wonderful to see the amazing animals in an unspoilt part of Africa. The guides are incredible and so knowledgeable. To wake to the sounds of the bush, to see the magnificent scenes and to have the excitement of arriving in a small plane - it is a magical experience and we long to return to meet up with some of the friendly people we met and their care of the environment

Rains had messed up the smaller roads to take you into the quiet areas .
Didn’t see many animals except giraffes...
But it was beautiful when we got to the lakes
I would not go back - Road is long and rough
I preferred the crater and Tarangire
Even Serengeti was lots of driving but we Did see great lions

The Safari with Halisi African Adventures was by far the highlight of our trip. They recomended us the Selous, which was much less touristic than per example the Serengeti. Nevertheless we saw all the amazing animals Africa has to offer, especially because Brighton was very attentiv all day long to find them. He also rented a great Camp near the Park for overnight stays with great food. As it was very hot during the day, Brighton was always prepared with a lot of water bottles inside the car (something other guides didn‘t offer).

All in all I highly recommend you to book a trip with Halisi African Adventures, Brighton is very gentle, knows a lot of good places and has a huge knowledge about the wild animals.

They are building a hydro scheme in the park. Large trucks and dusty road.
We tried to head off on the smaller tracks but after 45km these petered out. There were no signs and we had to return to the main road. Very expensive transit on construction roads. As foreigners cost us a total of $212. Unfortunately if you want to come this way there is no alternative!

Landscape is very nice, with lots of water and palm trees. Wildlife is very scarce and skittish. We came here especially to see the wild dogs. This parks advertises to be one of the best places to see the wild dogs... well... forget it! Even the park guides see them maybe once or twice month. Better go to Southern Africa to see them.

My Girlfriend and I had a great 5 day Safari in Selous & Mikumi NP, including pickup from our hotel in Dar es Salaam and drop off at the Ferry to Zanzibar. The trip was well organised and the diversity in wild life seen during the boat, jeep and walking safari was stunning. Said was a superb driver and guide who made every effort to make our trip enjoyable. He even went out of his way to arrange ferry tickets for us so we wouldn’t miss the boat. I highly recommend Tanzania Horizon Safaris and the guide Said.
