Lots of stuff
Dec 2019
Haven't been there in awhile but there is so much stuff from the local area to explore and the staff knows all about every item. Very interesting and exciting to learn new things about where we live. Love this place!

Paranormal and friendly

Awesome staff! Very friendly!
The lication itself was well kept and interesting.
We conducted a paranormal investigation here overnight. Alot of evidence gathered. The historical artifacts from the area were interesting and a fuel for the paranormal. Def a cool place!

Quaint little museum.

The building houses antique furnishings, fashions and so much more, including a saltine cracker dating back to the Civil War.

Very interesting museum, *Fantastic Architecture*
Oct 2018 • Couples
We visited the museum while in Watertown last weekend. First off, the Paddock Mansion (which houses the museum) is a very interesting piece of architecture. The exhibits inside were small but well detailed with interesting tidbits of history. The staff were very pleasant.

Make sure you take the time to visit the schoolhouse, garage / driveshed and log cabin in the back!

Note: May not be the easiest place to visit with young children plus the upper story has no accessible access. Nevertheless, well worth the visit!

If you are a fan of fantastic architecture, check out the library building across the road as well.

Jefferson County History

While the building is getting old and in need to repair, the history of the building and the exhibits is everything that is good about the area.

Small, but well preserved and interesting

We always try to visit the local museums whenever we hit a new place. This was in the downtown a short walk from the Best Western hotel where we stayed. We were through it in less than an hour but the architecture of the building itself and the quality of the displays was well worth the seniors admission price.

Very nice small museum.

I would of never known this was here, but my daughter lives in the area. I like being able to walk around at your own pace, not a guided tour. Besides the house, they had a garden, barn and old school house you could walk through.

Learn a little about a once very wealthy city.

This is an old fashion style museum with a beautiful garden. Watertown New York was once one of the wealthiest cities in the USA. Visit this museum and learn all about it.

It was okay

It was okay. A lot of stuff there about the suffrage movement which was cool. Not anything I would go out if my way to see.
