There are actually two cascading waterfalls: the lower one is reachable by easy walk and the upper one is reachable by a short but challenging climb through the jungle. The lower one is beautiful and you can swim into it, while the view from the upper one is amazing!
Notice that slippers/flip-flops are not advised, we did it bare-footed. Also notice that you need to pay 50 rupees per person at the entrance as it is considered to be private area.

Great place to visit and have a refreshing swim. 50 rupees entry fee per person, so have some cash with you. A stunning beach close by thus really worth a trip.

Went to see waterfall morning after heavy rainfall. Drove up the road to the booth where is limited parking. But people were leaving quite regularly so parked with ease. There 8s plenty of parking by the church if don't mind the walk. Scr50 per person. Definitely worth it. Tho cloudy we went for a swim and glad we did. Water was lovely temperature

I planned to walk to see the waterfall and should have read TA first. I crossed the wooden bridge and was immediately met by Marvin, who “became” my guide. I did not agree to anything, but he led me to the waterfall and back, pointed out cinnamon trees, vanilla, and red seeds they make jewelry from. When we arrived back, he said it was 200 rupees. I did not feel like arguing, but I should have told him initially that I did not want a guide and did not intend to pay anything. I am sure this is how he makes his living by scamming tourists. Not cool Marvin. Be warned.

Whatever you do DO NOT take up ANY offers of locals trying to “help” you find the falls....total scam. So lovely and helpful until the end where our man demanded R500 for two of us and totally changed his attitude. Fake fake fake. How dare you ask for so much money for so so little effort. After arguing with him we have him €20 plus R50. Totally ruined our day.

Spoke to others who we charged just R50 and others R100 each. So totally made up prices depending on who tries to rip you off. Saw so many tourists stopped and led off up the path...

Also heard of others being charged R350 for one coconut. Basically it’s just a polite way of mugging you. AVOID THESE CRIMINALS.

When we (a family with 3 kids) arrived at the parking around the corner of the waterfall there was a tall local guy waiting for us in a white t-shirt with SECURITY printed in big letters on it. He told us in a forcing manner that we needed to pay 100 Rupiah for the parking. We did, but learned from a local later that the parking is free on Sunday. I read stories about not taking any guide on this forum, so was prepared for that, and now want to warn everybody that these type of guys apparently update their tricks once in a while, so please be prepared and come here only in a group or with locals in order to avoid these criminals!!!

Entrance fee of 25 Rupees, on Sunday, is free. The falls is just a short walk from the parking. Small waterfalls, visited there on Sunday was loads with young local guys swimming. You probably saw somewhere better than there. So is not a must see!

Dont talk to the "guides". They will rip you off. Try to force you to buy a coconut for 175 R. Same with the "tour".

While it is not what I expected and not the highlight of Mahe, the kids had fun swimming in the dark pool and sit at the bottom of the waterfall.

It cost 25 SCR per adults and absolutely to use a guide, the waterfall is 30 meters away from the gate !

In our hotel there were the first people warning us not to talk to any of the "guides" at the waterfall. When we got there there was one police man who told us not to talk to them which kind of gives you a weird feeling. And then the fun started. Several different "guides" came up to us firstly just greeting us, then asking us if we know the way to the falls, etc. We told them to let us be and go away and eventually they did. But it is simply annoying and kind of destroys the nice time you could have there. The waterfall itself is nice but not so breathtaking that it would be worth to pay the "guides". Just follow the path and you'll find it right away. You can't miss it. DON'T take a "guide"!!!

By the way, if you want to, you can take a bath in the pool of the waterfall. The water doesn't look that welcoming though. But it might be nice to just have a swimsuit with you and a towel.
