We had an absolutely amazing time in the Atlas Mountains. We were really well looked after and had everything we could need and more Rachid, our guide was a really great guide. He didn’t just lead us up and down the mountain, he gave us a vast education on the landscape and culture. His great knowledge and excellent humour made the trip one to remember for a life time All we can say is from our hearts, thank you to Rachid and the people of the high atlas.

The trip was amazing , the driver Hip and our guide in Imlil Lhoussain, were both great and knowledgeable of the area. Food was delicious at Berber Ecolodge . The camel ride was fun and cool and was in a riverbed in Atlas mountains . The coperative of argan oil with local woman was really great. It was our fault for organizing a meeting point late so make sure to set a place ahead of time. Our hostel was in the Medina and it would have been very difficult for them to meet us there so we changed it the night before. Again, we created our own headache being uncertain if the meeting point worked but it all worked out. Overall it was a great experience and very calming after the chaos of Marrakech. I would highly recommend the trip.

Getting outside the major tourist crowded cities of Fez and Marrakesh is both a breath of fresh air and a chance to learn about a more authentic lifestyle of Moroccan culture. This trip introduced us to the beauty of Morocco’s valleys and the warmth of their native people. After a drive through the countryside, a hilarious roadside camel ride, and a stop at a local argon oil cooperative, we met our guide Hassam at the small town which lies at the foot of the waterfall hike. Hassam’s knowledge of Moroccan history and local lore was extensive. The fact that he was from the very village we hiked through made the experience authentic. The hike itself was more challenging than we, a couple of active Seventy year olds, expected, but Hassam helped us over some of the rockier steep parts, and never failed to be positive and encouraging. The highlight of the trip for me was the chance to have tea in Hassam’s own home and meet his hardworking mother. He explained how tourism has helped his community and showed us the Hamman he built for his father to make ablutions before his visits to the mosque. This is genuine opportunity to experience the challenging lives and warm hearts of rural Moroccan people.

Our trip was simply amazing. After interviewing several agencies to tour Morocco my wife and I found Rachid of Atlas Morocco to be the most accommodating. Most important to us was communication, reliability and to be able to design a custom tour that would fit our specific interest and itinerary. The challenge we gave Rachid was to build us a trip around 6 nights, beginning in Marrakesh and a departure from Tangier. We wanted minimal drive time between destinations and to experience as much history, culture and to include a one night stay at a desert camp with a camel ride. We are pleased to say Rachid of Atlas Morocco delivered a turn key tour that met all of our wishes. Our trip included Marrakesh, Essaouira, Agafay Desert, Fes, Chefchaouen and Tanngier. We experienced museums, palaces, seafront ramparts, medinas and luxury desert camping. One of the highlights of our trip was the over night desert camp. Absolutely amazing! Our trip was 100% hassle free and was fully customized. We were greeted at all destinations with private drivers and tour guides and at no time felt stressed or inconvenienced. We would highly recommend Rachid of Atlas Morocco for your up-coming trip.
