We visited Grand Baie and went to the Bazaar. Stifling, claustrophobic, constantly hassled by stall holders and higher prices than other markets. Hated it absulutely hated it

We went to the Grand Baie Bazaar hoping to find some local crafts and Mauritian goods. Unfortunately the market just sells the same old tat you find in markets the world over, tshirts and plastic trinkets.

The stuff here on display are the local cloths and souvenirs all nice and good but at a very high price. If you know to bargain, you may get lucky though !!

You can find a lot of touristic stuff, but the prices are higher than in supermarket. This is the right place where to go when is raining.

Maybe I am a bit jaded when it comes to markets, but there isn't really anything new here. T-shirts galore and plenty stuffed Dodo toys. But a fun break from the beach none the less.

there's only 1 place to eat and drink here which isn't cheap. Inflated prices for tourists I would recommend eating elsewhere
