We arrived in Mauritius with no luggage. After having driven to port louis to visit the local market to purchase some items of clothing...only found this market 4 days later. It is clean and has a lot of things at good prices. If we had known this we would most definitely not gone to port louis. Most definitely worth visiting.

It's a typical "bazaar" meaning a market where you do a out of shopping with bargaining. That's the fun there. Few items need a bargaining of 1/4th the quoted price. Fun place to shop souvenirs.

I was cheated when I was shopping with my family in Grand Baie Bazaar. The con man has a very neat store that sells almost all Citadel T-shirts. As it is my 1st time to Mauritius, I was planning to buy some T-shirts for my family. This Con man was saying that his store sells the best quality "Made in... More

Went to this market for buying Souvenirs, although it has a good collection, i didnt find any thing unique. You could find the same souvenir all across Mauritius. Also, you you should great bargaining skills to shop here, as you can negotiate upto 50 % of the price quoted to you. You can just browse through the market once and... More

We always visit the bazaar when we come to Mauritius. It is a nice clean bazaar with plenty local souvenirs to buy at decent prices. The vendors can be a bit overwhelming at times, but overall a good experience. The toilet facilities are also nice and very clean.

A must place to visit n shop when you are in Grand Baie.Well organised Bazaar, clean n the shops are well stock with 1001 souvenirs ,tourists may end up buying more than you planned.Cafe n food is also available.Price are reasonable, unless you are purchasing in bulk, no need to bargain.Textiles are cheap but becareful of imitations.

It's on the google map the location . We drove to the bazaar using our offline Google map . Parking is free . Vendors are friendly . Bought beach towels , T-shirts and cap here . Of course you need to bargain . It closes quite early around 6pm plus .

I'm not too sure why this is at the top of most things to do in grand baie. It is a small flea like market. Nice to walk around all the same, but it's small and you will find many things here that you will find elsewhere
