- NancyBuffalo, New York1 contributionPerfect addition for your Finger Lakes itinerary!Fun experience in Finger Lake Wine country! Beautifully restored huge barn with a wonderful ambiance. Our group of 6 all enjoyed the cheese tasting experience and were impressed with the flavor and texture of the cheeses. Water was readily available but they also have a nice beverage selection which nicely compliments the cheese. Cheeses were so good that everyone purchased some for home.Visited April 2023Traveled with friendsWritten April 13, 2023
- Matt IdeHarveys Lake, Pennsylvania37 contributionsMust visit pit-stop along the wine trailWe stopped at Muranda following a visit to Three Brothers since a friend said it was a must-stop location. It didn't disappoint, and was a great reprieve from prodding along the wine trail. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and creative staff, reasonably priced cheeses and drinks, and a beautifully decorated barn as the main attraction, where you would taste each cheese.Visited April 2023Written May 26, 2023
- AnnM336Royersford, Pennsylvania130 contributionsGreat experienceWasn't sure what to expect but we had seen Muranda cheese at previous Finger Lake stops. Visited on a very busy Saturday afternoon but was not disappointed. There was a live band providing entertainment. You can purchse beer or wine to accompany your cheese tasting which included 12 different kinds of cheese. All of the cheese was great and there is an outside deck to enjoy a view of the pastures and roaming cows in the field. Located a bit out of the way east of Geneva.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 5, 2023
- Cheryl KOrmond Beach, Florida509 contributionsOKChuck went to try the cheese tasting, I wanted a glass of wine. We felt very rushed, guess the workers wanted to go home. He (our server) came out 1 after another. Did not have time to even taste the cheese, so we didn't buy any.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 6, 2023
- Caroline G115 contributionsWorth the stop for sure! What a great experience. The barn is amazing -- and once you walk in you can have the cheese tasking for $7 and believe that gives you 12 tastings. You can also order something to drink (beer, wine etc). The cheeses are hard (Cheddar, Gruyere, Gouda style) with lots of variations; garlic, dill, chili and such. Totally loved it.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 11, 2023
- melSkaneateles, New York1 contributionExcellent cheese and experience! The Muranda Cheese Company/Farm was top notch! Such a nice experience with knowledgeable and personable staff. Had a glass of wine with the tasting which I loved too. Some family members were not looking to participate so our dog was out back meeting the cows. This experiment is one we will continue each year when we go back!Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 19, 2023
- Brian DIthaca, New York671 contributionsIf you are wine tasting and want a change...Muranda has cheese tastings ($7 ) as well as wine tastings and lots of touristy things. Parking is easy. If you have money left after, and still want to eat, just a short distance away is Connie's diner. Go!Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 4, 2023

We loved our time at Muranda Cheese. The location is beautiful and the cheese was fantastic. You can order wine or beer to enjoy with your tasting. The woman who did our tasting was great- friendly and informative and as passionate about cheese as my wife and I are.
Best of all, their cheeses are surprisingly reasonably priced, so we headed home with a few different varieties of their excellent cheeses. A great visit!

We decided to stop here after several locals recommended it. The cheese tasting barn was beautiful and the women doing the cheese tastings were great for $5. There are so many great cheeses. We grabbed drinks, local root beer and local grape cranberry juice and went on to do the tastings. There wasn’t a cheese we didn’t like. The blue cheese was amazing. After the tasting we browsed the shop and ended up buying several things. Definitely a must do if you’re in the area. They also ship the cheese and do gift baskets.

The barn at this farm is absolutely beautiful, enhancing the tasting and shopping experience. There is a small charge for the tasting, but you get to try up to 15 different cheeses, if I recall correctly. A couple of cheeses on the list were not available, but we still tried plenty, perhaps 13. All very good, some outstanding. The Dilly Girl is a favorite, as it has not only dill but a great garlic flavor. We left with four different cheeses and could have easily purchased more. The lady who conducted the cheese tasting is very knowledgable about the cheeses. The owner met my wife and I as we entered the place and was quite welcoming. My wife makes cheese at home, as a hobby, and the owner was able to provide some tips for her on making different cheeses and cold smoking cheeses. We also found that a lot of the vineyards carry their cheese, so you can get a chance to try them even if you don't get to Muranda.

We stopped here on our last morning as we were headed for home. What a wonderful way to end our vacation! The barn is delightful and the staff so nice! For a nominal fee, you get a tasting of SEVERAL cheeses with information about each one and you can also purchase a drink to have with the cheese-tasting. There is a porch in the back with comfortable chairs overlooking beautiful scenery. There are also other items for sampling and purchasing (dips, jam, etc.) We purchased a few cheeses and some other items to take home with us and were not disappointed. Definitely a "must" if you are in the area.

We enjoyed a chees tasting experience at Muranda which is something I never have done before. You can purchase beverages such as beer and wine to go along with your tasting of about 1 dozen different type of cheese. Its a unique experience and the only reason for not a 5 rating is it is a little pricey and the same if you purchase blocks of cheese later. My suggestion to the owners is a discount off your tasting fee if you then purchase some of their product.

Super friendly staff, delicious cheese & reasonable price. A great way to enjoy some food and sober up between wine tastings. The cheese tasting is free and the blocks that they have for sale are reasonably priced.

Decided to pop in and visit Muranda Cheese Company today, after being referred to them by customers at the winery I work at (we also sell their cheese in our refrigerated case, and the one I tried was great!) The venue is a beautiful barn, you got to see the cows out back in the fields, there was a lovely porch on the back of the barn to sit or stand and enjoy the day. The staff was very knowledgeable about the cheeses, how they're made, what they would pair well with, etc. The price was very fair. You could also choose from wine, craft beer, water, soda, and craft soda at the front counter to have with your tasting. All the cheese were really good, had a hard time narrowing it down to the 4 we purchased -- and definitely will be back again. Grateful to live rather close. If you have an industry card, you also receive a discount on your tasting.

We got lucky when the owner of the B&B we were staying at told us about the Muranda Cheese Company. We are so glad we went. Beautiful farm and countryside, great friendly staff and AMAZING cheeses. We would highly recommend taking a side trip from the vineyards and stop here. It is well worth it.
