My wife and I visited the Parrish Art Museum on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Senior admission was $8 and there are lockers available in which you can securely store your coats and belongings during your visit. A café is located across from the Visitor’s Services desk and continuing programs and workshop activities are offered in the rooms behind the Visitor’s... More

Parrish Art Museum moved to this new location a few years back and what a fantastic Museum it is. The building itself is an Architectural masterpiece, the outside is reminiscent of two conjoined longhouses and the inside affords each area a spacious exhibit room. The exhibits themselves are unique and individualistic. If you have even the smallest interest in art,... More

We held an event for about 150 people at the Parrish Art Museum last week and couldn't be more satisfied. We found the Parrish staff to be supportive and flexible. We were able to arrange our preferred caterer and create the exact type of event we were looking for. The space easily accommodated a group our size and the availability... More

We happened upon this museum on free day. Hooray. I'm All for supporting museums but every once and awhile it's a nice surprise. It will not take to long to pass through this museum as it is not very large. My favorites were the Eric Fischl works and the model of his studio.

Interesting architecture....essentially a NY trendy huge shed....it has it's good qualities, one of which is not the entrance, which I found impossible to find. After trying a number of different things that looked like doors we finally found a way in....wasn't the main entrance for sure.....very frustrating trying to get in to a huge building.....too much walking around outside looking... Much more engaging and interesting works than at other much larger museums, e.g., San Francisco MOMA. There is something for everyone. An added plus is that the audio guide is complimentary thanks to a generous donor. The space is large and airy and the natural setting is very inviting. Security staff were friendly and helpful. Food at the cafe was... More

We stayed in a B&B near here and kept thinking this was a large barn of some sort! It is a most unique building but fits the landscape and the modern art collection housed inside. We had a little trouble finding the parking lot and the entrance door, but once we did - the interior and the art was very... More

We heard about this museum during a visit to my sister-in-law's house in the area and decided to see how it rated in an area noted for fancy vacation homes. Well, we found the museum with it's art galleries to have some fine art. We also found the actual building to be a piece of art on to it itself.... More

The Parrish Art Museum is a unique experience from first entering the driveway to exploring the exhibits. The building--although recently built in 2012--brings to mind the duck farms that once peppered the area. It is set in a meadow filled with wildflowers. The emphasis of the exhibits is on the creative energy of Long Island's East End where artists have... More
