We enjoyed the boat trip today with the new owners who told us they started their trips two weeks ago. The owners were warm and welcoming , selling teas and coffees on board . If you want to see yet another beautiful part of Saltaire , I would highly recommend this boat trip.

A complete snooze fest! 😴 Unless you are a fan of David Hockney & expensive food, don't bother. Go to Ilkley instead! The boat cruise wasn't even running (on a Saturday in July!). The mill was large but mostly taken over by artistic and crafts sales. The village (Unesco site) has a couple of nice pubs but nothing overly impressive. Shipley is within walking distance and Bradford is but a train stop or two away. That's the home of the film, photography and TV museum. Much better to spend a day there! Summary.... wouldn't bother.

I strongly recommend it. If you have not been on an narrowboat, worth trying! It is indeed an excellent experience. Skippers were very kind, and explain a lot of things. I enjoyed great views from the boat. If ask beforehand, a private trip is possible to visit the place you want!

We’ve been to Saltaire with the intention of doing the boat trip three times now and once again, it’s not open and the telephone number is switched off.

Did this trip following other reviews but had a slightly difference experience. Had no guide from the gentleman in charge and felt a bit uncomfortable at times with some of the (bumpy) steering. A pleasant enough view and very reasonably priced though. The first part of the trip takes you to a turning point before then continuing under the bridge and past the local buildings. There were 5 of us and luckily we could sit outdoors. If any other guests joined us it would have been a bit more cramped.
