In our 19 years of golfing, with our 28 golfers, we play a lot of courses. We found Ravenwood four years ago. This year the course was in masterful shape. All the staff were very professional and helpful. We bombard the poor girl in the restaurant and she prepares our six beer and sandwiches laughing all the time. We get a token to hit range balls and the practice facility was excellent, lots of room and wonderful views to prepare for the round. The course was generally wonderful. Holes are majestic and a pleasure to play. Fairways and rough are fair where good golfers and shots are rewarded and poor shots are treated fairly. Greens were lots of fun, challenging but fair. There is lots of space to enjoy the course. Only issue is the noise and proximity to the highway. This is a great course and well worth the trip to Victor

Ravenwood Golf Club, located in Victor, NY, is an affordable and picturesque option to host your private event. With ample outdoor and indoor space, your event can be tailored to your needs and in addition there is plenty of room for social distancing requirements.

This course tests the skill of even the low handicap golfers. There is enough intrigue to keep you interested...it boasts wide fairways....plenty of room to avoid creeks, trees and hazards. The greens are deceiving and challenging to read......which all adds to the fun! The restaurant is most accommodating, serving very good food for reasonable prices......

Had not played Ravenwood in about 3-4 years and was looking forward to it. Compared to a lot of courses in the greater Rochester area, it is a bit more expensive, but was well thought of among golfers.
The positives: beautiful setting, great views, very nice clubhouse, patio, and the grounds are well kept. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Carts seemed brand new, and were equipped with a very nice GPS system, that was very helpful.
Cart paths are all paved, in great condition. Signage all very helpful. Carts have a "semi-stall" feature that if you are too close to the greens, brings the cart to almost a halt. So, stay away from the greens in your cart!
Also, there are a number of teeing options, enough to accommodate any golfer, from the VERY long ball hitters, to the very forward tees.
The negatives: there were two....more than a few of the greens were in terrible shape. There were large brown areas, and even some exposed soil in some places...on the green! Some greens were in great shape, but the ones that were in poor condition, were startling in how poor they were.
The second negative was the fairways. Some were in excellent condition, but a large number had divot holes all over the place, chunks of old, brown divots everywhere, and not many divots had been either replaced, or filled with the sand mixture.
Granted, much of this is due to careless golfers who fail to replace divots or to sand fill the divot. But the course has a responsibility to clean up the old divots, and to perhaps place a greater emphasis on golfer conduct when it comes to divots. It left many fairways looking shabby and uncared for.
All in all the condition of the course was not impressive. Again, there are many very nice public and semi-public courses in the area, with lower greens fees. Ravenwood has fallen considerably in my estimation, and won't be on my list of courses to play again in the foreseeable future...regrettably.

Medium to hard course with well places holes. It uses GPS for distance. Nice lunch menu and bar. Greens play pretty true.

Canadian who spent the Memorial Day weekend in the Victor NY area and brought the clubs. Ravenwood was nearby so I thought I would give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Reasonable rates, GPS in carts, friendly staff, and a great golf course. Great variety of holes with elevation changes, but challenging and fair. Would recommend as a destination spot for Canadians living in the GTA (Victor is beautiful).

This venue for a wedding is fantastic. This was one of the best wedding venues I have been to! The staff was on top of everything that needed to be done, the waitresses were professional and efficient. I can't speak more highly of this venue. It was beautiful and the staff clearly worked with the bride to make it her special day!

We attended for a wedding reception. Things sometime can get a bit confusing at an event like this. Everything seemed organized. The only negative remarks I heard from other guests was that the dance floor was a bit small but I guess that's a minor issue depending on how many folks are dancing at the same time.
This place is beautiful to look at.. The grounds are very well maintained and sort of give you a relaxing feeling as you gaze out and look over the golf course.

We had our wedding reception here and Jennifer is amazing to work with. The food is fantastic and service is great. I can't say anything bad about Ravenwood I have planed 4 parties in the last 3 years there.
