This used to be one of our favorite casinos. We would travel from 3 hours away every few weeks and stay a few days. My wife and I would lose about $1000 each, but it was lots of fun, so we didnt mind (sometimes we'd even win). We would play $10 tables (which meant that with bets, if we both lost a hand, we'd lose $60 per hand). But it would let us gamble for the two day stay. Now, its all 15 and 25 minimum tables. We cant spend 2 days losing $150 a hand, a few times a month. Its a shame. We're 3 hours from AC also. I think we're going to make that our go-to! You can still find $10 tables there!

Upon entering your required to show your driver’s license and get your picture taken. That’s it. No temperature check. You must where a mask but not all patrons cover they’re noses and security isn’t always watching out for offenders. There is no space between slot machines like all other New York Casinos. The Tribe doesn’t have to follow State guidelines. There are wipes available to wipe down your slot machine before use. And a few employees cleaning machines. There are steps in place at restaurants to separate people and you can remove masks while seated. The Motif bar is open and tables moved apart as well as bar stools. But people still gather close together in food hall while waiting for food. My opinion would be to shut down slot machines so they’re is a 6 foot buffer between players. Granted you’d eliminate almost half the machines but other casinos only operate at 25% capacity and still do business with machines shut down and it’s much safer for all players. Until they make more changes I’ll be staying home. Hopefully covid is under control next year and we can return feeling safer. But our October trip made me rethink how the Tribe is responding to the pandemic. Looks good but once again money looks like it’s more important then reducing capacity for safeties sake.

Hello, our health and safety protocols are published on our website and are available on our social pages. Physical distancing is strictly enforced in areas where face coverings are not feasible, such as in our restaurants. We have made significant investments in our safety protocols, including hiring additional employees for a dedicated Face Mask Patrol whose specific job is to enforce all guests and employees are wearing masks and wearing them correctly, and we also hired additional employees for our cleaning staff. They disinfect 12,535 machines a day! We encourage guests to let us know if you see anyone not adhering to our protocols so we can immediately address it. Guests who do not comply are removed from the resort – no exceptions. To learn more about our Health & Safety plan please visit, https://www.turningstone.com/page/health-and-safety.

I just spent 3 days in Verona with my wife of 40 years. We stayed at a local Hotel but visited the casino each day for a few hours. While there I received and email from The head of Turning Stone Resort touting how proactive they are in cleaning the casino to prevent the Covid19 virus spread. I appreciated the information. But the truth is I did not see one employee wiping down a slot machine or anything for that matter. They didn't even take into account social distancing. People were still packed in tightly on slots and table games. There were a few hand sanitizing stations but that was it. Sending a letter and not actually cleaning round the clock puts the public in more danger. They obviously don't need to follow occupancy limits either. It appears to me the Native American casino just cares about making money. Not Public health and safety. Think twice about gambling here for awhile till things change. Just my advise. Like I said 3 days and I saw nobody making an extra effort to sanitize anything in the casino. Maybe if people stay away for awhile they'll start caring more about their patrons.

Today is my wife's 50th Birthday and she decided to go to the Skana Spa At Turning Stone with 7 friends. Upon arriving they were told that although 6 had spa treatments and one had a manicure, that person with the manicure would not be allowed into the spa and would have to sit out in the lobby while all the others were in there.

After explaining that this was a 50th Birthday and that the group was coming together, they were told that if she wanted to get a spa treatment then she could enter the spa, otherwise no. I guess the $150 for the spa treatment was what they wanted...manicures must not be enough money for this greedy organization.

When my wife returned and told me that she and the other women had to go out in the lobby on a rotating basis just so the other woman didn't have to sit for several hours all by herself. I was furious, this is NOT customer service.

I called and asked to speak to a manager and explained our position and how we were very unhappy with the customer service and that it was completely unacceptable. She basically told me that she was aware of the situation and had spoken to the woman and offered to get her a spa treatment at around 12:30 when everyone else would be wrapping things up. She declined the spa treatment and as a result, had to sit in the lobby.

I explained to her how this was a special occasion that they made less special, that we go there multiple times a year, spend the night, dining, gambling, etc. I also stated that we have gotten to the point where we expect poor customer service at the casino and as a result, the neighborhood will go to Mirabeau Spa in Skaneateles (about the same cost, and customer service is amazing). The response from the supervisor at Skana was "ok, thanks for your feedback".

So...in response, you are welcome for the feedback and we will never go back again.

Spent three nights and played a lot of slots. What a joke. If you played any more than $1 you got no bonuses at all. if you played the lowest amount you would win some bonuses but they would be like $6 $8 $12. Any bets over a dollar and all you got was dust. Everybody talked about how awful the payouts were. At 8:00 p.m. on Thursday when the place should be packed it was like it was Sunday 3:00 am. It's foolish to play the slots there. Just give him your money and have a good meal. I cannot stress how terrible the slot machines were. Think about it if there's no people to gamble, there's no money to pay out. I've been to turning Stone many many times. there seems to be a gray pall about the place. No smiles no laughing and definitely no payouts. This was the same with the people I came with. Don't waste your time to find out what I have said is true. What a joke!.

Semi regulars before Covid, this was our first time back. Main floor looking a bit worn and very little evidence of the type of cleaning you would expect and find at Atlantic City and Vegas casinos these days. Drove quite a ways arrived mid Monday morning to find only one full $15 craps table. Here to before Covid on an early weekday morning you would find a $5 or maybe a $10 table. Craps scene itself crowded around 1 table, not very enticing.

My husband and I have been coming to the Lodge and SkaNa for our anniversary for several years. This will be our last visit. My husband booked 2 days worth of spa treatments. To our surprise, we were not allowed to use the spa amenities on the first day because pedicures are excluded from the spa. The booking agent, despite being aware of the intention to use the spa, never communicated the policy. On the second morning, we went down for our spa treatment and were kicked out because there is another new policy that you can’t be in the spa more than 30 minutes before treatment. This was never communicated. I asked why it wasn’t listed on our itinerary and was told that it was in our confirmation email. It is not. We also requested late check out with the booking agent. The morning of checkout we were told they weren’t doing late checkout. Other than the actual server at the restaurant, every employee was hostile and aggressive, robotically repeating COVID policy. While I understand, the need for additional policies, I don’t understand the refusal to communicate and when you do ask for clarification, I absolutely don’t understand the aggressive rudeness. I literally stopped for my id check and photo and was actually yelled at that I didn’t do the photo when I did. My husband and I ended up canceling our massages and left early. It was that uncomfortable to be there.

I am extremely disappointed that there is not more Handicapped Accessible spaces on the floor for people in power wheelchairs. I personally went to the Box Office when I would be able to use my Rewards card the day prior to General Admission. It was for the Alabama Concert coming in May. It's a huge Event Center, I would have liked to bring my friend who has MS and is legally blind to this concert. Please consider making more spaces for those in power wheelchairs. Thank-You ...

Since the onset of the pandemic, many casinos have been closed. Turning Stone is open and taking precautions to keep people safe. Over three nights we finally found one machine we had luck on but will not divulge its identity. They check ID licenses on the way in to make sure that you are not a resident of one of Cuomo's forbidden states. Then they take your photo. The casino was very clean and there were people going around wiping down the slot machines. Some machines even told you on the screen when they were sanitized. We went to the Motif Lounge where we had to buy some food (hot dog and chips for $2) and we drank some tasty Middle Ages Syracuse Pale Ale which hit the spot. The bathrooms were spotless. One recommendation is to bring money with you and don't use the ATM's which have fees similar to those charged by the mob. They are outrageous. Example $9 to take out $50.
