We were recommended this by our son-in law and we weren't disappointed. It wasn't at all busy, and beautifully natural, full of palms and bamboos, with lotus and lily ponds, shady hammocks to cill out in an lots of great sculptures. There is an old cider press/farmhouse with artwork. It was an absolute delight.

We spent 2 happy hours here. The range of tropical trees and bamboos was breathtaking. They offer cold and warm drinks at a reasonable price. A little bit difficult to find, it is not well advertised or signposted and this might explain the lack of crowds. It's a hidden jem. There are 2 interesting walks with lots to see in hidden corners. No food.

A lovely, shady park and garden run by dedicated gardeners. You can buy from a great selection of plants there - we bought a small banana tree on our first visit over a year ago, which is thriving in our riverside garden in the Gers. Seek it out - you won't be disappointed.

The gardens at the Palmeraie are of great interest to plant lovers and gardeners with many tropical species (not just palms) flourishing. But what was unexpected was the additional attractions. First there is a restored Gascon farm house in which one can see how the typical farmer would have lived with his family - complete with live animals. Then there is the brilliant collection of metal sculptures set in the garden. Mostly made from scrap and machine parts these represent real and fantastic animals . We particularly like the lifelike tyrannosaurus rex. Then there is the woodland walk round the "prairie" and another surprise of two crashed aircraft in the trees. Something here for all the family.
